Yes! His stand up is almost too much... Anyone see Kevin James before he started his show? Wow, I almost passed out laughing... George of course is a riot.

Only stand up comedy show I ever went to was a few months back... we went to see Tom Wilson aka "Biff" from Back to the Future. He was hysterical! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think Robert Shimmel is pretty good, I like the way he delivers his lines. Another great one is Mitch Hedberg, really obscure jokes but sooo funny. Its too bad hes dead.
I had not heard that Mitch Hedberg passed away. I am suprised that passed me by. I always thought he was funny.
Why is it that when you watch stand up comedy on TV, you'll barely laugh, but when you watch it live, you can't stop laughing?
Pablo Fransisco is hysterical. If you're from NY, you'll find DC Benny hilarious too. The sushi bit had me rolling on the floor. I actually met him at work once, nice guy. Of the big names Robin Williams and Lewis Black are great. Larry Miller's just words is very funny too. I'll never go skiing because of him, lol
I've seen him on TV a few times and thought he was hilarious. I ended up catching him live at the DC Improv a few months ago and while it was funny, I was more depressed than anything. The guy has one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel and his show was just really damn depressing... he seemed heavily medicated. -R
I also did not know Mitch Hedberg was gone. What happened. I loved his bits. Another great comedian who passed too young (cancer, I believe) was Dennis Wolfberg. I saw him live. My favorite Dennis Wolfberg bit was: "My Hebrew school was SO tough!" (Audience: How tough was it?) "It was so tough we had NUNS!" Mike Edit: Just googled Hedberg. Died in 2005 of "multiple drug toxicity." What a shame. I really liked his style.
Saw Dane Cook a few years ago, really had the audience rolling, awesome show, although i dont think his recent stuff is as good. I would love to see Ron White, but more than anybody I would want to see Dave Attel.
Saw Dave Attell, Lewis Black, and Mitch Hedburg a couple of years back in Dallas. It was priceless, and seeing Mitch before he left us will stick with me for a long time. Wife and I love Dane Cook, have followed him for the last 3-4 years. His newer stuff seems like he is trying to hard, rather than the innocent, exuberant young man from the early days. Todd
Well, its not that there arent any funny americans. Ok, some of your comedians are ok, but they arent that funny.
Funniest guys I can think of are: - Robert Schimmel http://www.robertschimmel.com/ - The late Mitch Hedburg - Brian Regan http://www.brianregan.com/index.html Brian Regan is on huge tour right now http://www.brianregan.com/tour.html - if you can see him, jump at the chance
Really? I knew he had cancer but he allways played it off well. Maybe it got worse? I havn't heard any of his recent stuff. Sad to hear either way.
And the original SCTV, and 'New Wave Theatre', oh yeah, the good ol days. Anyone ever see The Paul Hogan SHow when it was on PBS - before he got famous over here ?
