I'd think you need one of those cherry picker things to get up and do the tail, among other parts (or do you use one of those ceiling mounted harnesses?)

Why do some of you attack or be critical of a 14 yo? I don't see anything in what he posted here that warrents giving him a hard time. Are you jealous? He is just posting his opinion and experience. So what if it's his dads? In a few years he'll be doing things on his own. Congrats Vic.... I suggest you put some people on ignore and don't respond to them.

Anyone else have opinions on plane wax?

I would talk to the manufacturer of the plane. I would be cautious as there is a lot to consider. Changes in the airfoil, weight, attraction of debris, changes in de ice characteristics, etc. I'm not saying it's a big deal, but I would error on the side of caution. I would think the correct "wax" would be a real benefit.

Let me know what you learn....

 

Can't solo until he's 16, so he's probably in the back of the jet (if it exists), playing with himself. He's promised pics, but we haven't seen them yet, a figment of his imagination?

He was asked for pictures of his parents cars when he was questioned before and he came through. So, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

A simple tail number could put it to rest too.....

Thanks everyone for your input. I ended up going with Rejex, and it turned out great. The plane was a 70's Tiger with a newer paint job.

I also discovered how great Plexus is for the plexiglass windows. I had heard of it, but never used it. I even used it on the LCD screen on my camera. I just ordered a case of it!
