Relax... We're just teasing him a little cuz he wrecked it. Personally, I like him. He seems like a nice kid and he's definitely one of the quicker drivers out there. With the exception of Michael, there's no other current driver I'd rather see in the other Ferrari this year. As for who is the better driver, we will find out in a few months time as the season starts to show. In the meantime, don't take these little jokes so seriously. :)

He won two races last year. A far cry from the nine I would have won.

Absolutely, I think they will be a great 1-2 lineup and it will be nice to see these two on the same level where Massa will be allowed to win if he earns it, unlike the Barichello days.

Don't underestimate Massa, he is one of the best drivers on the grid and he will only get better this season.

Yeah but I spent 7 months in a coma last year and another 2 months rock climbing to the center of the Earth.

"I believe you need to "rock fall" and not climb to get to the center of the earth." spoken by a person who should have won 17 races last year.

Am I the only one that remembers Massa coming third in the standings last year, with more points than 1/2 the points scorers COMBINED? Let alone all the guys who didn't score a point...

Not when you're point downward. Which is how I did it the first time. The next 12 times I climbed to the center of the Earth, I started at the bottom of the planet, so I was going up.

At least the guys okay, who knows if it was even his fault, or what componenets they were testing on the car. I for one don't see why everyone is condemning the guy before he's even on the track for races.

Ferrari must be testing in the slums. Look at the background, messy trees, no hotties bathing in the sun {or rain} and a few crappy houses to round things out.

Any why are they taking so long to get to the car???

He said it was just a normal off, but the tire barrier was very close. Remember that although homologated for F1 testing, this is not exactly an F1 standard race track. Anyway, the damage was such that they were able to repair and send him out again.

About Massa, he caught my attention last winter when he was setting very fast test times, and he was fast for the rest of the year, faster than Barrichello ever was - plus, he's not a whiner. His overall performance improved as he gained confidence over the year and he put some manners on Alonso a couple of times with some hard, but fair blocking moves.

He may not be the next Schumi (that's what Kimi's there for), but make no mistake, he is fast.

I'm just upset that because of the crappy weather over 4 f-ing days, they only managed a handful of laps in the dry - not the most effective use of limited testing days.

    Let me get this straight:

We are on a Ferrari website (kinda), and folks are bashing Massa....... who drives for....... Ferrari.

Some of you make no sense.

I guess we can just rename it 'Team Kimi' and get rid of the second car....

    You folks are simply amazing.

Why not? After all for most people it was Team Schumacher for the past ten years.

I was way more impressed with Massa last year than I expected to be. He was fast, and toward the end of the year, consistent. I think he's a great number two with a reasonable chance of becoming a number one with a major team. I think he outperformed Barichello in a similar role, and I was always an RB fan.

I agree with you- I was really into watching Massa develop but at Monza he was schooled by Kubica and at Hungary I thought he was having mechanical problems, that's how fast he went backwards; then I realized that he flat out stinks in the rain. Don't forget qualifying in Monaco this year...

I have a soft spot for Massa. I like him. Don't know why exactly. He is also a very good racing driver. The manner in which he won the Turkish and Brazilian GP shows he is very hard to beat when everything goes right. He is, however, a little inconsistent when the circumstances are less than perfect, but I don't think he has stopped learning yet.

Kimi has yet to convince me of being the right predecessor for Schumacher. We'll see. I'll give him the first half of the season ;)
