Can't decide

I have owned both. The carb car is a great choice if you are a skilled tinkerer and like your cars very raw feeling. On the cool meter, a carb car is hard to beat. The QV is pretty close power wise, but more flexible. The controls are lighter and more refined but still a pretty raw car. There are a number of design improvements and they are generally easier to live with. The motors last quite a bit longer due to better materials. In 1984, they got serious about rustproofing which is certainly a big plus.
