I can tell the differance. Pepsi when poured straight out of an open canned is way more fizzy then Coke. I've taken the Pepsi taste challenge, I would know....

Mark, I've had a can of Israeli coke in my refrigerator for nearly 20 years! A friend took a trip to Israel and brought me back a souvenir. I put it in the fridge when I noticed that it was starting to leak around the seal during one hot Arkansas summer.

And just today I was asked about Dublin Doctor Pepper. I've been wanting to get ahold of some but can't find anybody going that way. What is the cost if you buy it right at the source?

    Dr. Pepper is KING!!!

You americans might not know, but Pepsi is only big in the USA. Every other country Coke leads by a country mile on market share. Saying that I drink neither on a regular basis.

I prefer Coke with a Pizza that's pretty much the only time.... ohh wait, coke with JD as well :) Also love Vanilla Coke but that is soo rare to find locally...

From the Pepsi family I prefer Mountain Dew over Pepsi but if I had to drink Pepsi id take Pepsi Max.

Also it is funny that the original poster wrote his "favourite" as Pepsi yet the thread title he put Coke 1st. :p

Last, the Pepsi challenge is the most stupid challenge ever invented. Anyone that can't tell the difference between a much sweeter a drink and Coke needs their head read :p

Weird factoid. Russia is AFAIK the only place in the world where Pepsi outsells Coke, and by a large margin. Why? In the early 80's Pepsi managed to get a permit to be sold in Soviet Union, but not Coke.

Me? I prefer Coke by a large margin. Pepsi is too sickly sweet. Coke has a more spicy tang and has bigger bubbles, thus is more coarse. I drink Coke almost always warm and only from cans and glass bottles (but I prefer the cans), big plastic bottles loose taste after you open them once.

    Dr. Pepper is nice too.

I drink a soda of any variety about once a month, maybe less.

For those who don't know, caffiene is more addictive than heroin. When I drink a caffienated soda, it's for the specific purpose of ingesting a powerful drug. Because I almost never take caffiene, the effect is dramatic, because I haven't built up a tolerance. Probably about the same as a mild dose of crystal meth.

For those who ingest caffiene in any form, be it coffee, tea, chocolate, or soft drinks, you might consider the idea that you would be better off not addicted to caffiene.

But by all means, DO NOT go cold turkey. Yeah, I know I sound like a loon. Just think about it.

caffeine used to never affect me until about this time last year. as much as i love soda, i know there are a couple reasons as to why i should cut down, and i'm working on it, but man, it is harder than it seems.

I drink cokes a lot and a lot of espresso throughout the day. If I sleep late or don't get my coffee quick enough I can really feel it.

I think that Pepsi may be a big seller in Mexico. I remember seeing a Mexican soap opera and the characters were at a night club. There were bottles of Pepsi on many tables. Also, there aren't as many bottling plants here in the US any more. Perhaps Mexico and other countries haven't upgraded to the aluminum can as much.
