I can't upload pictures either. Exact same problem as Rodney. Resized less than 800x800. Saved as .jpg. Less than size limit. Followed the steps carefully at least 5 times. Also receive "Failed" message each time. Also tried as .jpeg. Failed also.
OK, I've recreated the problem using a test account. Who gets the file upload error now? Just Non Subscribed users? Thanks, rob
I'm a new registered user and I cannot post pictures. I get the same message of "upload failed" Just got a white/tan 348ts and am dying to post pics. Kai
The problem seems to be with users with low total post count - is there a minimum number of posts before you are allowed to post pictures?
Just tried again. No luck. If I need a large post count I'll keep trying to post. Maybe by summer I will be able to post pictures. Rodney 1990 348 TS
If you guys are running Windows XP---It is fairly easy--send me a PM and I will run thru the process with you...
well, the version of the backup recovery software I used doesn't bring back the proper account owners or chmod. I had fixed most of that after the recovery, but the attachments structure was still off where maybe users uploading attachments for first time (even old users) would create a directory in system without permissions to upload. Users that already had uploaded in past would have the proper perms. The users with problems can confirm this theory by saying if they ever successfully uploaded attachments prior to December? Glad it is working now, sorry it took so long to figure out.
Thanks to Robbie it works ok with the patch from microsoft. Robbie has the link to that "powertoy" which makes it all work ok. // Ben //
