Few things you should try.. 1. Go to Ferraris on Oak during the summer. 2. Go to the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach. 3. Take a trip to LFSC and/or Continental. They've always been cordial to me.
There are people who make things happen and people who wait for others to make things happen for them. You seem to be among the latter group, which won't get you very far on this forum (and definitely won't get you into an exotic of your own). People have offered you constructive feedback on a proposal that even you admitted was "never gonna work" in the first place. After receiving feedback, it appears that you don't want to put in any leg work of your own. You just want someone to jump in and say, "Hey, come spend the summer at my estate. I've got a stable full of exotics just waiting to be driven to your heart's content." Since that hasn't happened, you seem to be throwing your hands in the air, muttering words of disgust.
this thread is so ****ing dead. BUT>>>>>>>>> Adam Kain has something to say to you. Finished my BA (snickers?) and co-wrote a book w/ a Mr. Stan Lipowski...currently trying to have something to do with fiction novel ism. Bought a '03 A4, pics soon. whatever, you guys are rich. Kain
Good for you. But seriously, maybe you read a Dale Carnegie book or at least have something interesting to talk about. With that attitude, you are surprised that people do not take you seriously or respond to you at all? I've gone out with the Fcar guys locally many times. After years, it has become less and less about the cars and more about the people surrounding them. Not sure why you want to know more for a week or two as an unpaid apprentice, but the best thing you can do is go out to a track event or two or three over in Michigan at the Gingerman.
