    Hi,

we're planning to take a look at and maybe buy a Ferrari 308 "Michelotto" which is for sale through Mecanic Import (www.mecanicimport.com).

Does anyone know this car ? The brakes, suspension are supposed to be modified ? How ? Engine ? Does anyone have more info about alterations/modifications "Michelotto" made to the roadversions of the 308's ?

Is the price right (32.000€) ?

    Thanks for information !

That link doesn't work. I hope that doesn't mean something bad for you with this car.

Looks like a Euro dry sump car.
I am not aware that Michelotto made any road cars, but I may be mistaken.
    I believe a "proper" Michelotto 308 (full race) is a $125,000 - 250,000 car, depending on history.

Not sure but it looks like a 328 lower front grille/spoiler combo was graffted onto the 308. I didn't know it could be done but I guess the contours match up. Interesting mod.

The car on the pictures is a Ferrari 308 GT/M. Only three cars were made. Some see this car as the first step towards the F40 ...

Note the use of the 308 GT/M mechanical Kugelfischer injection, also found on the 308 Michelotto cars (attached photo). It's driven off of the cam
It's very similar to the Kugelfischer injection used on BMW 2002 Tii.

Note the 308 GT/M's really cool bi-level throttle pedal with a tab set up for heel/toe.

so, just called the people from Mechanic Import and asked the explenation about 'Michelotto' type.

The man told me, he bought the car some months ago in Nice from an Italian collector who had the car prepared by Michelotto several years ago :
    - sports suspensions
    - sports brakes
    - dry carter
    - double exhaust
    - engine prepared to 275 HP

    ......So, now we know something.......

    greetings, Vincent.

Vincent, good to see you solved the 'Michelotto' mystery. Had a look myself previously and it just didn't make any sense.

    Thanks
