Awwwwwwwwwwwwww..................that the problem? Bah, seat was all the way back. Very small cab man. I fit perfectly in my 348. Plenty of room to move. I almost broke my back squeezing into that 308. Had a great time though. Cool car.
LOL So it was all the way huh? It looks like a toy with you in it.... I guess I won't be getting one of those... Though I am pondering a silver 348 GTB to add to the garage . The F355 needs a little brother .
Ahhhhhhhhh....................you have sold out your 355 brothers. Get a 348, great cars. 308 was awesome, but I cannot enjoy the car fully being cramped in the cab like I was. Well, it was not tooooooooooo bad. Was fun, but would have been awesome if has the same interior space as 348. 308 has classic looks, thats why I want one. Great car to drive. I will have to try a GTB, if that is still a chore, then I will forget the 308 idea. I will look at something newer. If I will fit.
NEVER!!! 355's rule !!! Since I can't use a 348 for performance driving, I will be keeping my F355 for those days I need to go fast and listen to a real motor . I was only considering a 348 to carry cement bags and lumber for my home remodel . I will no longer consider the 308/328 series to add in the garage. They are definately too small.
You suck goth! After the brotherhood embraced you, a girly-man 355 driver, this comment?! Plus, to involve you in the holy grail of 348 projects, the 355 tbs swap? LOL. Get a SS and all is forgiven - so long as it doesn't haul anything other than u and some smokin' hot babe.
Haaaah!!! The truth comes out!! Everyone knows that 355 guys don't wear "hot shorts" (ala PAP). So the girly-man comment does not apply. The brotherhood are good people!! No question there! The stooges projects are first rate!! My 348 remarks were strictly to give PAP a hard time! Because he is just too proud of his hot shorts!!! . BTW an SS in silver will be considered..... As for the smokin' hot babes??? Well lets just say......I've been pretty exhausted lately and my bed and laundry are done when I get home from work!!!
You know I'm just busting ur balls, dude. You are a stooge for life no matter what. Glad to hear of your domestic sit. I hope u do find a silver SS wo we can do the tbs swap together! Just don't push it!
And to think I was ready to welcome you to the 348 Brotherhood. YOU WILL NEVER BE WELCOME TO THE 348 BROTHERHOOD!! Not on my shift anyways.
Whoa, PAP, tell us what u really think. And what about a F355 F1?! Don't they issue those with a skirt?
No - roof section is thinner and you get about 1 more inch. Also, you can lean the GTB seat back further. I also do not fit in GTS's. Also note there is no frame rail running along the entry board (below door). Makes getting in easier too.
Ah, ok. Thanks mate. I still have hope yet. I will try a 308GTB then and see how I go. I still assume that the pedal box is still the same though. That is another area I had trouble with my big feet.
Get an 89 348. Has most of the good stuff of the later 348, but no crazy seat belts. The differences are slight and mostly benefit the early ones from what I have read (although most people will recommend you buy the newest 348 you can find). Plus they are less expensive! BT
I agree those auto seatbelts are a bummer. What kind of changes are desirable on the later 348's that can be found on the older ones? Also what year is the 320hp motor on?
I think the 320 hp motor was only on the 348 GTs / GTB models (93-94). There was an oil pump update that is better on the newer cars, but is usually done during servicing on older cars. The rear wheel offset is better on newer cars, but many older models have the spacers added to get the same effect. It is often written that the build quality is better on the later cars, but my opinion is that the care of the car over 15 years or more has a bigger effect on your ownership experience. Loose parts should be resolved within the first 5,000 miles of use. I personally like the seats better on the older 348 as well as the seat cushion design, timing belt cover, simpler Motronic 2.5 and dual disc clutch. BT
Sounds like the 348 had quite the evolution. I guess I will have to do more research on them. Thanks for the info!!
