Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo kind of scary, but this is a grammatically correct sentence. wikipedia goes into explaining how, but i'm totally lost. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_sentence
LOL since when is anyone going to use that in a sentence? Last time I heard or read someone say buffalo 8 times in a row was.... never. Nice find(?).
if i remember correctly, there's some way to use the word had 4 times in a row, it was something like: the boss had had had had enough of her. or something like that.
haha, sometimes the english language makes me wonder...if wikipedia were around back in high school, i think that c in english probably would have become an a.
I love it.. The interesting thing about this one is that there are more than 4 different uses for the word Wood.. JJ Esau Wood sawed wood. Esau Wood would saw wood. All the wood Esau Wood saw, Esau Wood would saw. In other words, all the wood Esau saw to saw, Esau sought to saw. Oh, the wood Wood would saw! And, oh the wood-saw with which Wood would saw wood! But one day, Wood's wood-saw would saw no wood, and thus the wood Wood sawed was not the wood Wood would saw if Wood's wood-saw would saw wood. Now, Wood would saw wood with a wood-saw that would saw wood, so Esau sought a saw that would saw wood. One day, Esau saw a saw saw wood as no other wood-saw Wood saw would saw wood. In fact, of all the wood-saws Wood ever saw saw wood, Wood never saw a wood-saw that would saw wood as the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood would saw wood, and I never saw a wood-saw that would saw as the wood-saw Wood saw would saw until I saw Esau Wood saw wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood. Now Wood saws wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood.
Tasty, tasty Buffalo. Around the ole Choptop Clan Castle we have stopped using beef and replaced it with Buffalo. Tastes WAY better and no growth hormones. now we are talking replacing the normal store bought leather they pass off as beef... Still have some fresh cow cut up once in a while from a trusted ranch, and that is always good.... but so is a nice fat Buffalo steak. damn... I can wait for warmer weather to start BBQ'ing again.
I finally got a handle on it, in the 7 and 11 word forms with my wife's (the teacher) help. Pretty cool.
This "buffalo" sentence is pure evil. Just minutes after reading this thread, I walked to the Coke machine and pulled a quarter out of my pocket. It was a North Dakota quarter. "Buffalo buffalo".
The evil continues to haunt me. Today, right before I came to work, I stopped off at an estate sale. Nothing great. Just a lot of hoity-toity bric-a-brac. But laying among some books and other junk, there was a United States Mint Quarter proof set from 2005. Mint condition, still in the original box with the proof quarters still inside their plastic housing. Price: 5 bucks. I snapped it up. When I got to work I took a closer look at the quarters. One of the quarters is a Kansas quarter. And what was on the reverse side, looking back at me? A BUFFALO!!! Apparently the buffalo can be an indicator of good things as well. Time will tell.
