Well that makes a lil bit more sense. Figured you had some sort of tie to the dealer.

I'll give you credit, you're the first to admit to the car...that's more than a few of us got out of them.

Was it true that it was fixed to the tune of about $80k or so?

The plane... beats me; it was a rental for a jaunt from SA to Vegas for the week-end. They had good cheese and sandwiches though. ;)

I will have to ask at VCR this Sunday, the guy who fix it. I am not a car dealer, i have a large collection, I helped a friend, Eric from Lotus is a dear dear friend, I have a small piece of the place, enough to get Dealer privileges. I call em as they are, most dealers are lower than Whale ****!!.

You may want to advise the folks at the dealership you have an interest in that the damage to the car in question should be the first thing disclosed, not the very last if at all.

It was, at least back in 2005 when I called on it. A friend of mine may choose to enlighten you on a recent experience, but I will leave that choice up to him.

There is one in DuPont for 490K. BTW do you own both??? Well happens that I do and I can tell you that the DTM vs Enzo is very close race, LV Eric and I took them out and raced on the 10 fwy and he could not gain ground on the DTM, infact I was pulling away, and from light to light I left him. I guess you will just have to take my word on it.

    Let me get this straight:

An Enzo and a DTM were raced on the California Highway 10 and the conclusion is that the DTM is faster?

    .

    Lets get real here:
The DTM weighs significantly more than the Enzo.
The DTM has less power than the Enzo.

The DTM and the Enzo might be a close race....with the DTM BEHIND the Enzo at all times, where standard un-modified examples are concerned

The folks at Road & Track who stage proper performance tests for real in optimum conditions (slightly better than those offered by the 10 freeway!) with trained drivers will tell you that the Enzo is clearly faster than the DTM.

John you have some seriously fast sports cars, but racing them on the public California I 10 Freeway ("I took them out and raced on the 10 fwy"...) is pretty irresponsible* to put it mildly. Please dont do it again this weekend!!
If you feel the need, there are owner's track days at California Speedway etc. Youd have a lot of fun learning how to drive the Enzo on the track.....with the DTM struggling to keep up.

    Joe

    * There are a number of other words that could be inserted therein, and Im sure others may oblige..... Have fun but stay safe.

I drove the DTM were talking about in sissy mode, traction control on, automatic transmission, etc the Enzo was in Race Mode we raced up to 135 that first day, I never heard of a DTM before I thought it was some aftermarket thing, i had no Idea. so I drove the Enzo first and had my foot in it the whole way and the DTM was pulling away easily. We switched cars to be fair and when I was in the DTM it took me a few minutes to get used to it, it has 285's on it or something thats too narrow and soft so the ass gets loose easy, we were on PCH by the time we got to the 10 I was comfortable with it, and the Enzo had no shot, So I figuredd the Enzo was just a POS one(just kidding) the next week I brought my Enzo out and same story the DTM SMOKED my Enzo in Race mode and the DTM isnt getting **** for power to the ground because it has the wrong tires on it,

EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK THE DTM IS FASTER THAN AN ENZO LIKE IT OR NOT. (JOE I HAVE THE HIGHEST RESPECT FOR YOU AS YOU KNOW, AND WITH PRO DRIVERS ON A TRACK THEN THE ENZO MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE BUT WERE NOT PROS AND HAVENT BOUGHT A RACE TRACK YET ;) SO PLEASE DONT TAKE OFFENCE TO MY OPINION OR EXPERIENCE)

I will say that the "Racing" on the 10 was from 60 mph to 120 which is a very short time. Also from light to light maybe 70-80. In real word apps, the dtm wins. The HP on the dtm is to the rear wheels not the fly.
Second I have not had a speeding ticket in 10 years, I do know how to drive. Raced Rally cars for 2 years.
3rd and lastly what you have read in magazines is fine, what I have seen with my own eyes satisfies me. Who am I here to please???
