And yet, I'd cry if that's all I made..... Brilliant.....how can ya argue with that? My father-in-law is not a member of my own family. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off...he thinks he's accomplishing everything and yet, like a tweaker, gets nothing done. And every time something breaks at his home I have to go fix it. My condemnation stands. You haven't met him yet. Are you confusing an empty desk with a well organized desk? I'd think an empty desk is simply unused. No, it's not a silly joke....it's just the kind of thing you'd expect to find in "off-topic" and evidently something people are interested in discussing. Was your post was a joke? Of course there are wealthy people who are well organized and those who are not. I was just curious how others organize things and figured there may be a corrilation. Nothing more. I didn't ask how much is in your wallet, how much you spend, which denominations, how much you make, etc, etc. I was just focusing on if they were organized in a pattern or not. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. I'm sure the jokers can take it from here....
I keep my money organized by its value. Depending where I am it will go in a front pocket if Im at a game or something.
Well, last time I went to dinner with Steve it was a $250 proposition. In all seriousness, I pretty much know the places around me that have the $10 minimum requirement and I'm never in such a hurry that I have to throw some cash on the counter to avoid it. C.
From an episode of "The Simpsons:" Superintendent Chalmers, referring to principal Skinner: "The stick up that man's butt has a stick up its butt."
Once again proving that all analogies and philosophy can be derived from the Simpsons. If we sent all those episodes out into space it would eventually land on a distant primative planet where it would eventually be considered biblical in nature. D'oh!!! For the love of G-d people....we're not talking about how much money you have in your wallet, how much you earn, what your salary, what you do for a living or even how much cash you even spend. It's an organizational issue; I was just curious if others keep their paper money in an ascending order and all oriented the same way. I do and many others do as well. Here's what I see: People who keep things in an orderly manner generally like to pay their bills immediately, keep receipts, know where all their money is invested, have cans of paint with tags to which rooms they go to for their homes, get their car serviced on timely intervals, tend to get directions to where they are going before they leave, brush their teeth more frequently, etc, etc. People who let chaos reign pretty much do less of the above. I was curious to take it a step further. I know some people who are in their late 30's, 40's and even older who seem to be spinning their proverbial wheels in life...they have goals they never reach, ideas they never follow through on and ambitions that never act on. These people (granted they may be spiritually, intellectually and wholesomely wonderful) tend to have disorganized lives. Is the wallet the barometer for this measure???? I dunno...seems those who own Ferrari's are generally pretty well to do. Those who are well to do are typically pretty organized and have their stuff together...and so the theory follows....or does it? Hence the thead. Did we stimulate a few brain cells and find a topic that illicits a response in an off-topic section of a forum???....cha! Btw, Dave....rubberband-man is still in the mix; bet your dad had his singles next to his 5's, then 10's, etc. So yeah, he's there. Looking at the stat's....I'd have to say yes, there seems to be a corrilation or sorts. But it doesn't make a person good or bad, it's nothing more then a measure of how they keep their wallet and perhaps a relationship to how they manage their lives. Eh, who knows. This reminds me of my other poll where I asked if guys have trouble hearing their wives!!!!!
mine's rather messy, but I know where everything is. in ascending order, but not always oriented. CCs in the plastic sleeves, discount cards, gift cards, etc. in the pockets. receipts behind the cash and occasionally cleaned out. i keep bandages in those little inside pockets. I usually carry a good mix of bills, but rarely use cash. I press my cash on occasion because I hate limp and wrinkled bills I'm pretty sure everyone will find this weird. now, given your initial requirements for response to this thread, mine doesn't really matter. My mother, however, who I consider to be rather successful, well... her desk, house, car, purse, and wallet are an absolute mess, yet her life is in order...though that could probably be attributed to my father who is more organized, but comparatively, less successful.
I don't carry a wallet - they are too losable what with their bulkiness. I use cash - notes folded the same way in order of denomination. I carry my licence and a couple of other plastic cards in a small plastic folder, separate to the cash.
Always stacked. I carry less than 10$ at all time though, it's a particular thing why I have more than that though right now because of my birthday. My license is on the left hand side visible (since I get pulled over so often ) My credit cards are slid stacked in from most use to least use. I'm a neat freak where I can, but i find organization within chaos. My desk is hell, my wallet is perfect, my car is perfect, my notebook is hell. Whatever. If you need anymore info let me know. My sister is a neat freak everywhere and restructures pretty much her life every other week. My brother is the same way. I'm 19, she's 16, he's 12.
THis is such a great comment that I was thinking on the same lines, I know so many people just out of control regarding this and it shows in their lives, no steady job, bouncing around, something always different...an ex-gf of mine was like this even with raising a child and by the time we broke up she was very organized and knew where her $ was all going...too bad I thought her something useful in her life...
Notes are largest at the back credit cards are in no particular order, as I work in Norway the Kronas are in the front section of My wallet with the pounds in the back when I go home at the weekends I take the Norwegian out and leave it on the dresser.
I do not own a wallet, i have 4 pockets. in my pockets are some bills, credit card and a drivers license, and i dont care which pocket has what in it. thats it. thats all i need. i earn great money and have excellent credit. i just dont like putting a fat wallet in my pocket. and sometimes i go Commando, so what does all this say about me. free spirit i guess.
