    I met Mr.Brauer in the mid 1980s. At that time, purchsed two models for my friend, Larry Wilson. Larry later sold his entire models collection to Chris Vandegraff of Hollywood Sports Cars. I paid about $800 for both models. I would assume the Brauer models are now about $3000 each.

    Personally, I prefer the work of Alain Bouissou (but he only does Bugattis), and of Feeling 43...

    Based on the Bburago, right? It contains two models? If seen them around. They are not my scale, but those are very nice pieces and indeed quite rare.

    Cavallo Scrimante makes more 'special editions'.
    Think they have sort of license to built Kroymans and Michel Oprey cars.
    Their shop is only 5 miles from my home. Last time I visited them is maybe 10 years ago:(

    Mostly 1:18, not my scale.

    I belive I first met Mr.Brauer at the Geneva, Switzerland model bourse (swap meet), held the first saturday in May each year, back in the early or mid-1980s. That is also where I first met Mr.Bouissou. I never bought a Brauer model for myself, but I did buy two for my friend Larry Wilson. Larry eventually sold his entire Ferrari models collection to Chris Vandegraff of Hollywood Sports Cars, circa 1987. Chris had his Ferrari models collection in his office in the showroom of Hollywood Sports Cars when it was on Hollywood Blvd. That location closed at least 10 years ago. I do not know where the collection is today.

    By any chance, do you happen to know the address of History Models/Lilliput models. They make many "etceterini" models. They are rather crude and expensive for the quality, but they are the only one besides Rennisance making "etceterinis". Grand Prix Models in England has some from time to time, but I rather buy 5 or 10 at one time and get them at "dealer" price, than to pay "public" price.

    My goodness. What on earth happened. Has it been properly fixed since? I still owe you some pictures of the Le Phoenix. Sincere apologies but I cant even find the model yet...in the middle of moving house.

    hi harold, yes Mr Brauer shipped it to me but it was not soo good attached to the based so the model moved in the box with this result.

    It is back to Mr Brauer and he will fix it. Lots of work ...

    take your time for the pics, no rush ..;

    I really hope it comes back in good health my friend. Unfortunately my model of the 288 was also damaged in transport but luckily it was very minor (the driver side door hinge somehow snapped and now the door never closes).

    Must be something to do with Brauer and 288 GTOs

    The model company in question is known both as Lilliput and History Models. Grand Prix models lists them under History models, and Carmodel in Italy lists them under the name Lilliput.

    Etceterini is a generic term that was created 30 years ago for all the different marques of small displacement sport-racers, such as Nardi, Siata, Moretti, Stanguellini, etc.....basically etcetera plus the letters ini....as many Italian car marque names end in the letters ini...

    The collection that Cris purchased from my friend Larry Wilson contained about 1000 cars, mostly hand-mades....all pre-1985 made. I think you will have to come to Los Angeles to see his collection...
