Something wrong with the 'other' site?

Talking about l-power of course...

I signed up a few months back. Then when the board crashed my account was reset to 0 posts. Today I go to log in and it says it cant find the account? Was I banned or something?

So then I try to register and it says my email is already in use. Then I try to do a "forgot password" by entering my email and it says no account found.

Is the board just screwed up?

I didnt have a lot of posts - maybe 30. But they were talking about locking out the noobies who were polluting the board. Maybe I accidentally got swept away in a n00b cleaning or something?

Anyone know how to get in touch with an admin there? I can't log-in to ask whassup. Maybe someone could PM me an email addy?

LP has had a lot of problems lately. They've never been right since the crash, but hopefully all will be restored to normal soon.

The problem is it has no backups and doesn't seem to have anyone, either via owner or hosting company, that seems to know their way around forum software. Posts have been coming and going for the past day or so, we're getting email notifications of replies but the replies never get posted, private messages disappear, threads come and go; it's a mess. Since hosting is what I do for a living, I offered to help them with it from a hosting and support standpoint for no charge after losing my first 1100 posts, but didn't even receive a thanks but no thanks from the owner(s). There's a few moderators that seem to legitimately care about the board but of course they don't have access to fix it.

hi mike.....slooowly. been too preoccuped with in board/management meetings for most of the last two weeks. besides, mother nature has been less than cooperative, as of late which isn't helpful.

 

We are in the process of switching servers and updating the forum. Everything is under control. If you can't log in with your user name, use your email address instead with your password.

We're almost back up to full speed, thanks for your patience.

 

I forgot the email address I used. I am pretty sure I do not use that account anymore. lol

If I have any problems getting in tomorrow, I will email a mod.

curious why is lamborghinichat identified on google under the ferrarichat.com web address? Wouldn't Rob secure both domain names? You google, lambo or lamborghini chat and Ferrarichat comes up.

One would think you would get more hits.....

Ok, I was able to log in this morning using my user name and password. Looks like things are settling down for now

Now all they need to do is get rid of a few obnoxious/cocky users on L-power and life would be good!!!

 

Rob did secure LamborghiniChat.com. I gifted it to Rob and FerrariChat.com a couple of years ago.

 

I think you answered your own questions there...

The reason Ferrarichat.com comes up when googling lamborghinichat is because Rob owns both URL's and has set it up so it redirects to ferrarichat.com. Type lamborghinichat.com and it redirects you to this site.

I guess Rob may of thought to start a new separate site at some stage and never got around to it or he just bought the domain to protect his own interests and decided to have the "lambo section" as part of the Ferrari boards(as is the case now).

Just checking whois and indeed lamborghinichat.com is parked at the moment so the hits just bounce here.

I joined yesterday and I keep getting an error message that says I dont have permission to view the board. Is the site down? If not does anyone know how I can fix it? I emailed the administrator but haven't gotten a reply.

 

I know new members that registred after february 2006 I believe or under 200 post can not post on certain threads.

 

I cant even view any threads
