I'd keep the 348. First, the 348 looks better to me. It looks so damned tight and exotic. Secondly, as you pointed out, there are hundreds of 360s for sale now and values are just going to head south for a while. Unless you're fallen in love with the 360 and are bored with you car, I'd stay put. You'll probably save another $20K just in 360 depreciation this year (my guess, anyway).
True, 360's are on their way down at this time. Let the current owners handle the certain depreciation that will probably last a few more years...
What I meant was.....if you were to go with a 360CS. Then wait that little bit longer/save more money and go with a 360CS. Im sure their prices are a little more steady than the depreciating 360's.
I really hope so (although I hate taxes too), because I sold my 3.2 Mondial in the US because I will be residing permanently in Como starting this summer. I cannot imagine the fun of driving a 360 in Italy during the summer time...[/QUOTE] Excellent, when you get your replacement Ferrari (or even before) We could have a meet somewhere, hows your Italian? Mine sucks but I'm trying to look into organizing a track day in Italy if poss. We have Camillo a new Fchat member in Rome now and he's Italian so I'm sure we could sort something out.
Sounds great! I will get in touch with you as soon as I am back in Italy in the month of May. I would be happy to help you organize the track day as well. (My Italian is all right.)
The 360 really hasn't depreciated much in the last yr. I'm sure it will, the key to a 360 right now is buying it right
Chris, If you think we're gonna let you leave this section because you bought the 360... think again. I will send people in black suits to visit you if I had to!! PS. Are you going for the burgundy color? I have my eyes set on red/tan!! But not till summer.
Repeat after me... "The 360 will never be worth less than $100k Electronic traction control is forever" ....Repeat til you believe it.
I will never leave this section, I think it is the best section on Fchat, well.....except for Pap and his shorts of course
An exclusive XXX section aptly named Pap's Hot Pants Fchat Section. To join and have full access for 1 month, please send Pap US$50 to paypal account-55590349958432349485854. Please dont forget to mention your Fchat user name so I know who has paid to view Pap's Hot Pants Fchat Section.
I'm biased, but I wouldn't sell... I think it looks better than anything that Ferrari has put out in recent years and if you want more HP I'm confident the stooges will have some insane horsepower doubling solution for us by the summer! (Yeah Plugzit, we are all watching with bated breath - when can I bring my car up to you???)
If money and depreciation were not the issue, I'd forget the 360 CS and get a 1999 low mileage 360 6-speed coupe as a donor car for a Novitec conversion. You end up with the out of pocket of a CS but a way better result. $110K (maybe less) for the 360, $85K for the conversion = killer 360.
