That's true Gothspeed... we need those for the amount of chicks we get in our 348's... judging from Pap's picture of the 355 manual, you guys will need this: :) :) :)

HAHAHAHA!!!!:p There is some confusion on the 348 side of town  That petroleum product you depicted is used strictly as a hair product. Any other uses are not fathomable by 355 owners. Must be a 348 owners "thing"!! :p :p Here is a picture of a typical 348 owner:

    Smikkey,
O.K. you get the drift, both great cars with trade offs and issues.
The 348 is a lot of bang for the buck but if you've got the extra 20-40 grand the later model 355 definitely delivers. Of course one added advantage to owning a 348 is membership in the "Brotherhood" something you don't get with a 355. It's the "AAA" club of Ferrari ownership as far as support and a great bunch of peeps that willingly share their knowledge, expertise and support.
Although we don't like to admit it 'Gothspeed' and 'Nodoubt' (355 guys) are how should I say it Pap?......honory members of the "Brotherhood"? As much as they banter on and on about the differences in our Ferrari's they're there when you need them too.
No matter which way you go you can't lose.....it's a matter of what you like and your own personal tastes, do your homework, then decide......looking forward to seeing your first post with your new 'F' car.

Yet another classic thread! Can you picture a totally uninitiated young aspiring Ferrari owner reading this first to decide what model to buy? tampons and hair dryers? WHAT? Those were options?! bwwwahhh hahaha!!!

I don't even notice the 348 clutch, but the shift linkage is, imo, the worst part of the 348. Now the 355 computerized bit - power steering, power top, semi-hydraulic suspension - yeah - that's more computers (I know - I'm stretching the term a little bit). Raw mechanical bits is the real artwork - any computer geek can program a better ECU with newer gear tomorrow.

You would buy a 348 to enjoy a spirited drive and take it to the track to enjoy a track day. :):)

You would buy a 355 to drive to the local strip to enjoy a cafe latte and cake with your mates named Hulio and Enrique.:eek:

Sy, I think the colour balance on your camera must be off so I took the liberty of adjusting the photo for you. Hope this helps.

Great thread! Went a bit off topic slightly along the line. But brightened up my morning! If the content of this lot has been usful in deciding which model to buy I'll eat my hat.
BTW, I think you'll find that the Hair dryer was only available on the 'B' model of 355 as a cost option for the model year '97 onwards. However, Hair Straighteners were standard fitment in all 'S' and Spyder versions.....
