I have been in business 20 years now. The last 10 I have been designing and manufacturing furniture and urns for funeral homes. I have amassed many customers along the way. Many have become my friends. And I have found out that many are car guys like me. But I don't recall anyone telling me if they owned a Ferrari. So that's my question. Any Funeral Directors out there with F cars?

I would not be surprised if Paul Bearer and the Undertaker own a few.

Many Ferraris could have been bought with the cash the big cos like SCI threw around to acquire funeral homes a few years back ....

you know, this is one of those professions, much like trash collectors, that people are surprised to learn that they earn quite a bit of money. it seems like one of those jobs that not many people would want to do. personally, i wouldn't want to be in it, simply because i think i would get too depressed, being around death all the time. however, the big conglomerates probably pay quite a bit, and i'm sure there are a few running around town with their f-cars. a great business to be in, you're always going to have customers. just think of it this way, people are just dying to do business with you.

Might be a "grave" mistake to ask such a question here!

Dying to do business with you....a grave mistake.....make no bones about it.......(shaking head)...is this an episode of The Munsters? LOL!

Coulda been a mortician(get it.. Morticia....Adams Family?, hee hee), did taxidermy as a kid in Connecticut......mostly pheasants and deer heads, though.....back in the early 70's when I was the age of most of yous here. Still, good practice for the real thing, formaldehyde and all.

I had a funeral home as a client, and instead of business cards, they gave out a book of matches with their info.

I actually think the irony was lost on them.

I know of a funeral home owner in London, Ontario who owns (or owned) a Tucker, which was laid away in a private garage.

No idea about the F, though.

heh my 15 year old sister wants to be a funeral director, she figures in her little mind that since people are dying everyday, she'll never run out of customers and never put up with any complaints

Since AJ Foyt Jr. is friends with the Waltrips who own Service Corporation Iinternational (SCI) (formerly the Houston Heights Funeral Home), and sits on the Board of Directors.........

Technically, the BJ Auction Boxer would qualify...........;)

Also, IIRC Peter Collins coffin was carried to the grave, on his 250 California......
