Anyone care to see another update??? :)
Okay okay..... so here it comes!!! It may not look like much since yesterday, but if you look closer I'm sure you will notice the little "sunburst" in the front fender (Although the effect is much more pronounced for real)!! The fact is that I have spend many hours doing the ultra fine lines arround that area to make the effect, and actually I think it went pretty well!!! I have also done some ultra fine lines elswhere on the car, but you'll have to know where, to see it from these pics! This one will definately become a favourite for me! It really do try to jump right out of the paper ......and I'm very proud of it so far! Thanks guys, @Roel, I have put you on the list for a print already!!! You may need to expand your office soon, to get more room on the wall for new prints!!!
Update 16... and still getting better!!! Today it also became a "Dino" as you may see from the emblem! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
EXCELLENT!!! Damn this just gets better and better. only problem, we cut down that big old pine tree this winter. Can you erase it from the picture??? Dave

Hi Marcel, No, it's not finished yet, but it will not be colored! It will be made darker in many areas, but since everything is made with a 0.1mm pen, it takes some time! Many lines in the drawing are finer than a human hair, just to give you a clue!! I use to build layer upon layer with a very light hand to get the tone or nuance that will look right compared to other nuances in the drawing!!! It's a very slow process! Best Carsten
Aaaawh maaan....... I really can't believe this........SH*T!!!! Such a waste of precious time..... (SIGH) Can anybody believe this???......That I....... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh man, that is bad luck indeed... i know from my personal experiance how much effort you'we put in there and then something like that ruins it all, i hope, you can somehow save the drawing though.
So sorry Carsten. I've been there. Quite a few times... that heart-in-your-throat feeling is sickening... Sincerest supporting thoughts being sent from Toronto, Canada... GT
.....posted the wrong picture!! Thanks so much for your sincere concerns everyone.....but.... Off course this could NEVER happen to me..... again!!! Absolutely impossible!!!! Believe me, I HAVE tried this in the past, and I was crying like a baby, ruined over all the hours wasted at drawing and studying photos.....and then in a split second "SPLAT" and all was ruined!! That is why it could never happen again.....my coffee is ALWAYS kept in a 100% safe distance from my work!!! Of course my pen could leak or something else could make stains, but NEVER EVER my coffee!!! I was only kidding here, and I'm terribly sorry guys....please forgive me!! Obviously Tina made one hell of a good job in photoshop with some coffee stains and the picture from the last "real" update! I had hoped to catch Dave with this joke before anyone else would fall for it......sorry again guys!! I should be punished for this, I know, but I just couldn't help myself Well on top of this joke, I better post the real update with absolutely no coffee stains on it!!! Ok, my heart stopped there for a minute or two as I read down through the thread. Carsten, you are one funny guy. watch out for your next US care package. That ticking you hear will not be you new Ferrari Stop watch Dave M.
@Dave, So, I should not look forward to recieve this "Take care" package......???? I usually shake those to find out if it's something fragile inside Best Carsten
So now I'm really starting to get there......although it still need some "color adjusting" as well as a few areas on the drawing that needs to be worked a little further with, such as the shaddow underneath the car! Image Unavailable, Please Login
@Dave, This could very well be the finished drawing, but I wonder if you would prefer the drawing to be a little darker???? Both Tina and I feel that it looks awesome like this, but compared to a photo of your car I have my doubts if it should be made a little darker still!!! What do you think Dave???
