"also, 4 door can fit 5 whereas 2 doors only have 4 seatbelts." I understand your point at minimizing distractions, while a good percentage of 2 doors do only offer 4 seatbelts, you'd be surprised at the williness of teenagers to give up a seat belt for that short ride down the block...the back seat can usally fit three comfortably...just something to think about
thanks for all the help. it was really useful she's decided on a white eos which im happy about. only problem is white is not readily available in base model in northeast. may have to go to bmw which is readily available in most colors
Any thoughts regarding the Volvo C70? 2 doors, fwd, safe, decent looking.....if you'd like more info, feel free to PM me.
c70 is really nice but too much $ for daughter. i tried to get wife interested in it but she didnt like it. eos has nice advantage with glass roof over volvo too. c30 is more like a mini cooper vs eos/bmw to me. thanks
Something cheap, 10 years old and slow... I see way too many kids with mega hp and high dollar cars that don't appreciate anything. My first car was an 89 Cutlass that was a hand me down, buy your kid a reliable and safe ****box and they will appreciate the value of money.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you don't buy her a luxery. Do something for her that will bennifit her for the rest of her life and buy her a beater, maybe an camry or accord. I am assuming this is her first car? A bmw is redicious, teach her how to work for what she wants. Or if you think she already knows, at least teach her how to value what she has and get here the bmw after she proves herself with another car. All else fails, tell her to buy her own car.
I like Infiniti products...the G35 coupe can be got with a 6 speed which will be much safer...especially for a younger driver...the involvement required with a manual transmission car makes for a safer driver all the way around...a slush-box is just too easy and will cause inattentiveness...in fact, statistics are clear that young drivers in manual transmission cars have fewer accidents pro-rata than their counterparts in slush-box cars...
thanks for advice but ordered base eos without options in white/tan. will also tint side windows. hope to post pix when car delivered end march. btw, new g35 coupe spy fotos look great. it will be awesome but probably no awd option like sedan has
If you can't wait till the end of March, there are a few alternate models that you may want to consider. They are both perfect for protecting the teen driver and available now on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferret-Scout-Tank-MK2-3-Military-Vehicle_W0QQitemZ260092119472QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260092119472 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Saracen-6-Wheeled-APC-Recon-Military-Vehicle_W0QQitemZ260092118561QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260092118561 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
got the eos and it was a great surprise Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
can someone photoshop the roof pilars black to match the roof and windows? might look interesting. thanks
Did you get DSG? If so it is missing the special DSG shift knob. Here is your photoshop, in the areas it is dark, it was already dark. It just draws attention to it: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know he already got his car, but my sister had one of these and loved it. She was 20 when she bought it (totaled it in a DUI) and she loved it. They make great cars for school age girls. Nice job on the eos. Looks nice.
thanks for the fotoshop. you guys are awesome as usual! i like it better with the std white roof. car does have dsg (only auto trans offered) but need optional sport pkg to get paddles. can still shift manually from the floor shifter though.
still thinking about the fotoshop. maybe if the windshield frame and mirrors were black also? can you do it? thanks
Alrite, again, did a crappy job. If you dont like this, I can go back and fix it so the colors match. But just so you get the idea: Image Unavailable, Please Login
