I see a red/tan one in the San Jose area about once a quarter. Same guy driving it. 6 months back, I saw a white 348 on the freeway at night. I see a 355 once or twice a month. 360/430's, I see once a week on the roads.
The streets are littered with them in the Woodlands .... When we hunt for exotics we look for Toyotas Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
now that im thinking about it , i ve only seen 1 in my area and thats only in the summer months. i see a couple 355's and 360's, and 328's- but only 1 348 hmmmmmmm- getting rare i suppose.
Even here in the land of Ferraris, L.A., maybe, just maybe one 348 a month on the road, excluding car shows. 360's and 430's are all over the place.
When I lived in the Mainline area of Philadelphia, a mere 5 minutes from Algar (my pcar wrench was across the street from Algar), one of the oldest fcar dealers in the US, I barely saw any fcar, let alone a 348. Obviously, Algar couldn't find them either as they had an F50 stolen literally under their noses (the salesguy was left by the roadside - probably thinking of his future career plans).
Seen 4 in the past 2 months in Hong Kong but many many more 355s and 360s. Anyone got any idea how many 348s have been scrapped?
Up here in Canada, Woodbridge Ontario you will see all kinds of Fcars on a daily bases, including ENZO's .[lots of Italians in Woodbridge]
Down here in South Florida I've only seen three. BT's on the road during some runs and two others a yellow Spider and a rare burgundy colored one that was sold to the MD area. I see many Ferrari weekly, about one a day. Models vary from 308, 328, Boxer, 355, 360, 599, 612. I have multiple sightings of one particular car, a red 355 driving north on I-95 every week. The same fella is always driving it. But I have never seen a TR.
Just sittign around counting days until our Hillclimb race series starts again. We have had 348s win the series for the last 2 years and regularly have 4/5 racing. I will be campainging my new grigio one this year. Dates are here http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/events/hillclimb_2007/ Stats from last year here http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/events/hillclimb_2006/stats/stats2.asp and finally another 348 ex race car I met up with last week here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpkp_NdVZek (excuse the noisy CS) Apart from them, oh and the ones Sy has already posted, I hardly see any really! But never forget every time Im out how lucky I am to own and race an increasingly rare Ferrari.
Eggcellent! My 348 was the only one to represent the breed at a track event in Houston this weekend. Even in the FCA shows there are tons of 355s and 360s while the 348 is a rare bird.
Most people don't know what the latest Ferrari models are, so when they see a rare 348 it's something special and distinctive. Apart from a Testarossa, tehre's nothing else like it on the road. <insert smug smilie here>
Away from shows, probably only spotted 2 or 3 348's in the 2 years I have had mine. One of these was in Italy. About the same for Testarossa's/512TR. Can't remember ever randomly seeing a 308/328 actually being used. Seen a few 355's, but in all honesty at a distance (and when paying attention to driving) they may well have been good-effort bodykitted MR2's.
There is a red 348 Spider that sits on the Strip here in Vegas everyday with a big "Rent Me" sign in the windshield... next to a c5 Corvette and a 1st Gen Viper. Also here in Vegas I saw a black coupe 348 on Desert Inn Rd. race and lose to some Honda.... I wanted to hunt him down and beat him silly.
