I have always thought that color scheme for a 355 spider was terrific, and recently I saw one in the flesh at Rifledriver's shop. It's a stunner, John, and you'd look "tits up" in that one.
Saw one at the Concorso in Seaside CA a couple years ago... it stood out from all the rest. It was different, but very very beautiful. I'm not a big fan of green, but that is an awesome green! Yeah, I'd drive it! I've got a few pics of it if you'd like to see them I could email them to you. ~Rob What the heck I'll just attach the pics... it's worth showing Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not sure either, your pics look like a lot darker green, but how many greens could there be on a 355?? I honestly don't know.
well maybe I'm just too 'new' to Ferrari ownership...but a green Ferrari?? not in my garage! Which translates to...if you like it, buy it. The only downside will be resale, it will take a long time to find another buyer for a green Ferrari.
I believe there are two different green shades. The one pictured at Concorso I saw there and is owned by a woman in San Fran. It's a beautiful car. I think it's a lighter green than the one you posted, John, and I still think what you posted is a very good looking car. I'd buy it in a heart beat. It's unusual and I think it looks stunning on a 355 spider. Symbollic has a 360 spider for sale in the same green as the one John posted. It looks very good to me.
Johnny, I saw a 355 that same green color down here. It was priced very reasonable at the time. The dealer told me it was so cheap because they had it for sale forever. But I liked it, it looked good.
Lovely green John - it looks black in some angles and metallic green in others. Very cool! Buy if you like it.
Buy tdf. Resale is soft on green, if you end up wanting to sell it the 1st weekend you have it, you'll have some trouble moving it
There were about 5 different greens Ferrari used on the 355 product line-- Verde - Regular Green Verde Scuro Metallico - Dark Metallic green Verde Tenue Metallico - Fine Metallic Green Verde Mugello - Medium Green Verde Silverstone Metallico - Medium Metallic Green Hope this helps...
Tradition has it that green is a bad luck color on a Ferrari. I have no idea if that is true, but Bob Smith will not work on a green one.
Interior needed to be cleaned big time. The tan leather was dirty, both seats. Dash looked ok and if I remember correctly some of the rubberized surfaces had minor stickies. A/C controller panel was ever so slightly warped. As far as 355s go the interior was fair to good since the leather could be cleaned and the stickies and warpage were limited. The engine actually looked pretty good, but somebody had oiled all the surfaces up in a quick "detail" so it needed a proper cleaning as well. The exterior showed no visible nicks or evidence of a respray but the whole car needed a good compounding and buffing before a good wax. Numerous swirl marks. As I recall he was asking about $70-75 for the car. I never got to the point of discussing a PPI.
