I bet the pearl looks better in person. A steering wheel in anything besides black should be illegal.
Very creative. I hope he feels that the creativity is worth the 60-70K in depreciaition that he will experience trying to resell it. That will be the "stunning" part.
Your statement shows how little you know about the market right now. This car could be sold tomorrow for well over sticker, or a year from now for over sticker. I truly admire a purchaser who buys the car the exact way they want it versus someone who specs their car out for resale down the road.
Dan do you remember a guy who ordered a 355 coupe >silver with a brown interior? He said the interior color was called 'baseball glove'. He worked on prototype cars for the auto industry. Silver over brown was his personal choice. He would get a new F car every year... CH
Different strokes for different folks....I'm sure plenty of people think it's stunning, beautiful and awesome. I for one feel it's fugly, wrong and just a disjustice to what otherwise could be a much better looking car. Even my wife, looking over my shoulder, saw it and said "ughh!!!"....and her background is professional design, so what would she know. That's one of the most worthless colors I've ever seen on a Ferrari and that dark-tan interior is wrong too. Guess I won't be buying it!
The problem with red, if you own one in red, is that everyone and their mother has seen your car. Bring it to any Ferrari gathering, or Concours event, and no one will give your red Ferrari a second look because there are a hundred other red ones right next to yours. Anyone who sees this pearl white car will remember it, whether they liked it or not.
Hmmm (took me about 5 minutes looking @ the pictures to form a judgment). I will join the minority and vote for "gay".
+1 It is nice to see a F-Car in something other than red or black. If the title of this thread would have been Red 430 Coupe, I wouldn't have even opened it. I would have picked a different interior color, but I have seen worse.
The color is beautiful. The lines of the 430 never looked better. Also, the interior color is perfect. I would not hesistant to buy the car with that color combination.
Really? You might check on the relative values of red VS any of the, shall we say, "unusual" colors out there on 360's. I think you'll see at least a 25%-30% variance. Once the novelty wears off on the 430, that car will likely be a white elephant. I couldn't agree more with your point on specing it "the way they want it". I just wouldn't want to own it. I've owned two red/tan Fcars because I love that combination so I am naturally partial to that color for esthetic reasons. I also like the fact that they are by far the most valuable and desirable.
It wouldn't be my first choice neither, I would go for the boring red as ever, but look at it in other circumstances and it looks much better ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those pics make the white look soooo much better! Although that white looks more like a natual white and not pearl? I could be wrong....
PS- do you have those night shots in high res? Also, for reference...here are some more white Ferrari pics. http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m93/furious_fiero/Ferrari%20Pictures/F430/White/
Absolutely Gorgeous. I have never seen an Fcar in pearl white, is that a special order color? fazooley
The title to the thread is pearl white . It looks like pearl white. What else would you need to be convinced it's pearl white
Oh...it's a Ferrari and it's a 430...but something just doesn't look right. I too would order/buy the color I wanted, but the fact remains that it'll take a very "special" buyer to pull the trigger on that color. Just deal with it; it's a discount for sure. You love it; great! Let me introduce you to some gals who gave great personalities!
Wow your wife sounds brilliant! She must have given you tremendous valuable advice when picking out the colors on your current car. I bet with her background she'll be breaking into unchartered territory and dreaming up a wicked new color combo like resale red and tan for your new 430 protecting your communion money for generations to come. Oh please, introduce us to gals with great personalites just like yours.
There are more people looking for red Ferraris on the pre-owned market, this is very true, however there are a ton of them to choose from. There may be fewer people looking for a white car, but there are also way less white cars to choose from. Owning a red car will not bring you 25%-30% more than other colors, I can guarantee you that. You are looking at maybe 5%. How do I know? I have been selling Ferraris for for a factory authorized dealer for 5 years. The bottom line is that if you are able to take delivery of a 430 at MSRP, it is immediately worth more than what you just paid for it............even if it's green.
The pics in the very 1st post are indeed pearl white, and yes, it is a special order selection. The car in the night shots does not appear to be pearl. It is probably "Bianco Avus", which is a non-pearl and a non-metallic white. It does look awesome in those pics though!
