Has anyone seen this item number on Ebay: 320085106378. It is for a blank Enzo key which the seller is reporting can be cut by a keycutter for use on a 360. Is this correct? Notwithstanding its expense, it is a beautiful key!! Joe
joe its a red key i bought one and cut it no problem. you have a pm from me Ferrarijoe p.s when you go somewhere and throw it on a table the red is bright much nicer then the silver key. worth the $ 300
They are no longer available from your dealer unless you own a Stradale/Enzo - fax title and the new Key machine at Ferrari NA will cut it for you. The days of dealers stocking blanks have been over for 6 months now. Ferrari put an end to it. If you have a chance to get a blank, buy it and consider yourself lucky. Mario
Go talk to Jimmy 540i, far as I know he is the only sell those keys, I got my from him and I'm very happy, yes, those could be cut to fit from 430 to 355.
The one that is on ebay currently has the Ferrari badge on it, not the Scuderia shield like the CS. I am not sure what this particular key came with, but I believe the Enzo ans CS came only with the shield. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.
I saw that, but I didn't realize it was any different. I didn't know the CS had the same key as the Enzo. I'm so cool now!
The CS key has a square Ferrari logo on it. The Enzo key has a shield shaped emblem on it. I have held a CS key in my hand, and own three Enzo keys (two still shrink wrapped). I figure in ten years I'll be able to sell the other two keys for enough to retire on...
The red key is an Enzo/CS key. The were available as blanks many many months ago. Ferrari stopped making them as blanks and the only way to get them is to prove ownership of either of the above cars and the dealer will get one (already cut for your car). The silver keys came with the 612 Scaglietti. They are still available at various places like the Wynn for $195. Just call them and they will send it to you. The silver blank (also cool) can be cut to fit any 360. I think they are headed in the same direction as the red key once supplies run out. Jimmy did buy all the red key blanks he could get his hands on. Good insight on his part. As far as I know he has the only ones left so if there is one on ebay ... buy it.
I bought mine from Ferraristore.com in Italy a while back ago to be used for my 360. When I checked back few months ago, all blank keys were no longer available. It looks like they are carrying the Enzo key again as I checked this morning (both Enzo and 612 keys are available now). Maybe I should order 10 keys so I can retire even earlier than Software http://www.ferraristore.com/ search for "key".
I do have a concern with authenticity of these keys. The Wynn Las Vegas store was taking orders and delivering "Enzo keys" for $200.00. I was on the list for some four plus months. I finally received the "Enzo Key" about 3 weeks ago, and it was a cheap knock-off made in China that had been generically cut! I called and inquired and the response was that it was a souvenier piece and not an actual key! Well, they took it back and paid for the return UPS as well and fully credited my CC. So, I am concerned about these keys from the Ferrari Store. Has anyone actually recived one to know for sure? And has anyone had it cut? I believe it's a hard steel base that requires a special key cutter. Anyone know this for sure? Chris, you are the expert on a few things. Do you know this for sure?
Here is the info from the site : Original ignition key without a transponder and modelled on that of the new Enzo Ferrari GT. The ring is 3.1 cm in diameter and bears the Ferrari badges, both in silver. The key is presented in a special red case with white Ferrari tissue paper and comes with an authentication card. Pre-cut shape. I would like to order one also, if it is not a cheap knock-off.
Good description. Their website type is so damn small I can't read anything. I even dropped my resolution to 800X600 hoping that would help, but it did not. I don't care about the transponder as I believe the Enzo system is different from that of the 360. Nor do I care about the box and wrapping. I would like to hear from someone who has had actual experience with this actual key, however. Anyone?
ALL the ENZO keys at the all Ferrari Store & Ferrari Store Websites are ALREADY-BEEN-CUT and cannot be cut again for any f-cars... Period.
Here is a picture of the key from the Ferrari Store Site : Looks exactly like the ones on eBay . . . . (I will be ordering one) . . . . . Image Unavailable, Please Login
sorry but if you look on the Ferrari Store site, it clearly states "PRE-CUT", so it means it has been cut. just FYI =============================================== Enzo Ferrari key Art. no.: 289990392 Price € 125,00 ≈ $ 160,40 (Ex.VAT) About this product: Original ignition key without a transponder and modelled on that of the new Enzo Ferrari GT. I may be wrong but I think the wording is awkward and leading to confusion. In the picture the key is clearly a blank and not cut. I think this is what they mean when they say pre-cut shape. Why would they cut it? I doubt any enzo owners need the money and are selling the keys, so why cut a blank and make it useless.
