I have NEVER seen one on the road that wasn't part of a group I was with (and there is only ONE other 348 that I have seen in that manner). The only time I sort of saw one on the road was last October when I was on business in Cincinatti. I was taking a cab from the airport to the hotel I was staying at. I look over in the dark and see an open trailer with a 348 on it. Not a great sign. Yet, I bought one!! ;-)
Glad to hear it!! Your car is "clean". Those "jelly beans" are too trendy right now . Welcome back, even though you never left !!!
A couple of weeks ago at "Cars & Coffee" (PAG) in Southern California, Ferrari was the featured marque of the day. I had the only 348 in the show, 3 or 4 355's and I counted over 18 360's and 430's. There were so many 360's and 430's it was boring. Thank goodness for the F50, F40, 599 and a couple of 246 Dino's that showed up.
I almost, kinda, thought I saw one a 348 this morning.......Nope! it was something else that I wont mention. Hey, it was from far away
Thats who I was thinking of. He was probably finishing up at his hairdressing appointment and making his way down to the cafe latte strip.
Away from Ferrari-meetings, I have only seen few 348s on the roads here in Denmark in the last ten years. One with plates from Holland, - but he was from Denmark!! He used his 348 ts from 1991 as an ordinary car, every day most of the year. At that time (2001) nearly 100.000 miles. With no problems!! Another time I visit some friends (Ferrari-fans) in Copenhagen. We went down from 4. floor and a red 348 ts was parked right in front of us!!! He came out of the building, I talked with him, he started the engine and drove away. It will happen again in the year 3274. And to PAP 348: I was in Australia (not Mount Isa) with my wife in 2000, a year after I bought my 348 ts. We were in a bus a little outside Sidney and suddenly I saw a 348 in a window. What do you do! Out of the bus and went back half a mile to see a red Ferrari 348 tb. After a while my wife told me, I had a car like this at home! Next bus, 40 minutes!
I forgot! I saw one at the mall during December. Does that count as "on the road?" Image Unavailable, Please Login
What happened to the great video, I was telling friends about it and now it's unavailable? Please help!!!
I took all my videos offline for the time being as they were using up lots of bandwidth, plus I needed to have better control over them. That particular one will have the music replaced and will be up again elsewhere very soon. I'm re-editing the other videos and uploading them to youtube over the course of this week along with some new ones. You can view them as they get added here: http://youtube.com/FgearTV Sorry for the incovenience.
Decided to keep it. It's too nice an example to let go. Still hunting for the right 360 coupe, gonna take a while, but I'm no super hurry. Just want the right car
Just saw a beautiful yellow one 3 days ago . A while ago I saw a silver spider for sale..amyone know how many were made?
Wait F cars dont only come in a 360/430/599. OMG....I am shocked. I'm kidding. Here in CA I rarely see F-cars where I live. Much less a 348.
My book says 348 tb 2894 348 ts 4228 348 speciale (US) 80 348 spider 1146 348 gtb 222 348 gts 218 348 gtc 56 13 were developed into race versions, 11 348 gtc derivatives and 2 GTC LM derivatives for the 1994 Le Mans race. A quantity were of course right hand drive. But not sure of those numbers but off top head 300 TBs and 8 GTCs.
I saw my first 348 (TS) on the road 2 weeks ago in Santa Barbara CA. - Actually it was parked in front of the 4-Seasons Hotel. However, since I was with a bunch of friends from around the US it worked out great as many have never seen one up close.
