Okay, I know this is probably the most boring post on Fchat ever...but you guys comprise about 90% of our social network. We've had someone clean our house monthly since we moved to our current house. We've been using a company and they are always good about getting someone there, but they apparently have high turnover and don't ever send the same person for more than a month or two. With the exception of one time, they've all done a good job but we've become just a little leary of having a different person come to our house every month. Anyone have a person or service they recommend who would come to southlake? If anyone knows of a down-to-earth handyman (ie won't see our house/address/cars and try to sell me a complete remodel), I could use one of those too. just PM info. Jennie
Jennie, Sounds like Rob and Uncle Greg weren't getting their lists done. PM sent for a handyman. Phil
Phil- Actually, Rob will tell you that he doesn't have the patience; he would just as soon hire someone as fight w/it himself. On the other hand, I like to do stuff around the house...but sometimes lack of TIME(esp now w/Mia) and TALENT tend to drag out those odd jobs. J
Get to work! Only thing I'm handy at these days is cars and that's only because farm girl Jennie shamed me 7 years ago by changing her own oil to my amazement. 2 years later I had 18 hours of credit in the auto tech program at Brookhaven. Now she also shames me with the yard work, painting, carpentry, electrical, and appliance repair. Those I'm perfectly fine with her continuing to shame me. I don't mind paying, but if that's fun to you, then go ahead, just don't like going a week without hot water!
whoa....no hot water? this better be fixed before i come down to babysit your kiddo, or we are staying with Uncle Greggie.
Don't call me a dork! But okay, I guess that's acceptable. Yes, the house on White Chapel..the good times with opossums.
Hey Jennie - Give Lena a call. We just got someone a few weeks ago that is doing a great job and very reasonable on price.
but overal i think they are all the same. after a couple of months.. they get complacent.. I like hiring independents.. most of the time theres more value in that.
