As far as values, I think the October 2006 Forza is closer to reality than Cavallino: GTB (Steel) 25k-35k GTS 35k-40k GTBi 20k-30k GTSi 25k-35k GTB QV 35k-40k GTS QV 35k-45k While I like that Cavallino has my car valued at up to $65,000 I think $45,000 as a high is more realistic. As I never plan to sell my QV, it doesn't really matter to me. If I had the money, I would pay to fully restore my QV over buying a newer Ferrari. As for speed, I think the 308 is plenty fast for my needs. I had a 1989 Mustang GT that was much faster, but the size of the 308 and it being closer to the street makes it feel much faster, therefore more fun. The 308 is so much more than HP, but it is a factor when comparing the 308 line to itself...which is why the 2V version has been deemed "less desirable". That being said, I would rather have a 2V 308 than a lot of other cars out in the market...but as far as 308s go, give me a QV, then a carbed car over the 2v.
It's the nose that unsettles me: http://www.bricklin.org/images/Unknown/P7130012.jpg I know the 328 is a much improved car, but I can't stand the nose treatment.
The rust resistance cited in 1984 onwards is indeed as Newman states simply a coating on the metal BEFORE fabrication, so bending it scratching it riveting it all expose the underlying steel to not only the elements but the electrolysis that results from all the light weight aluminum components/brackets Ferrari used in order to realize weight savings..... Also as mentioned aftermarket treatments like Ziebart would go a long way towards saving the car if used but they punch and drill holes all over the car to reach crannies and then have to plug the holes with plastic plugs.... To OP....... It's worth what you will pay, man.....simple answer....
The Bricklin really is hideous. 308 Euro/328 look pretty close, IMO, but it's all about how much wedge you enjoy. (Pics borrowed from elsewhere on FChat - top one is 308.) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I knew there was something uglier than an Aztec. I forgot how awful those things looked. And such pretty colors too. What is that thing, vomit green?
