    It is awesome!

Yes, I have had a complete fluid service, detail, and my dash and cluster leather completely re-done.

The shop is very, very impressive.

very much so. i was there last night and they had four engines out already. in fact they are doing so much work, they had to install a fifth lift recently. Their enclosed engine dyno room is almost done. They also just purchased a milling machine. they are one of the most technologically advanced shop in the area. they are set up to do literally anything short of bodywork.

why does someone always think they need to post this shop in every thread about richard's shop? It's tacky, start your own thread. No comparison between the two anyway!

Nope didn't break. I'm getting the cam variators replaced and a new belt (because FNA won't pay for the cam variators because it is a EURO car), all the fluids are being changed, its getting lowered 20mm and getting aligned to the Stradale specs, clear bra and tinted windows. Everything it needs to have a great driving season!

I saw it.... looks as good as ever.

    Guys,

If you have not had an opportunity to stop by and see the shop, I recommend you do. Being a new shop they have the luxury of laying everything out just the way an experienced set of mechanics would want it. A nice addition to the Ferrari mixing pot.

Wetpet, maybe fasthound was asking about the other Richard as he didn't say in his thread. Either way, I don't think Competizione would care about a mention in a thread.

If you guys are stopping by, I'm only 10 min. away (much to Richard's regret...lol). Let me know when you're heading up.

    Matt,

This pict. is for you..... and yes fasthound "Competizione" is open for business.

why would you assume that this thread entitled "Richard's shop in MD" automatically means the Richard in Gaithersburg and not the Richard in Reisterstown? We have been starved for good independent Ferrari mechanics in this area for a long time. Isn't there room for two now? Should we take your "there's no comparison between the two" as a put-down of Radcliffe? It sounds like Competizione is doing great and is a fantastic shop; doesn't sound like he needs someone getting defensive on his behalf.

I dropped my car there yesterday and I was very impressed by the shop and by Richard too.

There was a beautiful Berlinetta Boxer with the same “Pozzi” sticker as mine! :)

BrianP is spot on - we are best served by both shops, however there are many who view these threads who don't have an insider perspective, (121 as of this post) I would only suggest adding their last initials for clarity: RichardG's shop and Richard_'s shop.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my question....

The Richard I was referring to is the gentleman who used to work for FoW and left to start his own shop. Hope that clears up any confusion.

    And so the answer is.....?

I think the original poster answered your first question above. you knew that. Yes, i like the idea of as much competition as possible. I think there is room for many quality shops in this area. I suggest you start a new thread to discuss the competition. you should take my comments at face value, i mean what i say. there is no comparison between the shops. that is my opinion and i recommend people visit both and form their own opinion. competizione is doing extremely well and doesn't need me to defend them, they haven't been attacked. My comment was on posting on this board. I own a biz myself and i find it tacky when people promote my competition in my own thread. It doesn't affect my biz because i'm the best at what i do, like richard capoccia. It just makes your biz look desperate when you have to keep jumping in on every thread about other shops. I don't think the richard in baltimore needs someone making his shop look tacky or desperate. the above opinions are mine alone and i do not speak on behalf of either richard.

Ed, I think you have a non-homosexual crush on Richard. lol (like Seinfeld's George with Tony) You may not be the only one. I let him take my 348 home everyday for week to diagnose a stupid electrical glitch. He found it and fixed it when no one else could. To all, enough of this pettiness between shops. Let's drive or something.

I had a great chat with Richard the other day and I am taking he 360 there for a fluid change when I get back this week!
Very professional guy and seems to know a great deal about the cars. Good luck to all the indy repair shops!
