Guys, not worth arguing about. We know there are a few around. The parade was great! I think I got about 1gig worth of shots and had to buy a new compact flash card for the rest of the weekend. Got some good shots of Marc Gene both in the car, and out of the car. Took some slow shutter shots of the cars driving past and also a few clean shots with a fast shutter... Hopefully they all turn out decent. I didn't get home until midnight last night so sadly I haven't even been able to go through them myself!
F*ck darth and the horse he rode in on. Could not care less about post count or post war, as I have mentioned many times before. Going on short trip tomorrow for 5 days, so will be nowhere near comp to make posts anyways. If PP replied..........yes Pap, there are several owners here in their 20's ect.......I would have been happy with that simple, polite reply. Saying I posted a dopey question is pretty piss poor IMO. I did ask if you guys/he/whoever actually knew of any guys in their 20's that own a Ferrari. Maybe I should have asked if anyone knew the owners personally? So the story would believeable. As I am sure there would be many driving "daddy's" car and people would get the wrong idea about who owns the car. Would have been clearer I think. I DO NOT live in the 'big smoke'. Every Ferrari owner on Fchat is 30yrs+!! I do not think I have seen any pics posted of 'younger' looking guys here that own their cars that live in Melb, Syd, Brissy ect......Was a legitimate question I reckon and got a silly reply from PP. 355 replied politely. Then again, I should have not taken PP's bait and replied like I did. He lives for that crap!
I was 25 when I bought my first Ferrari, Pap. Ausdino would have been 23/maybe 24, Gleggy would have been in his twenties when he bought his Dino.
I was 28 when I bought the BB. What a great event the 60th bash looked to be. Real shame it clashed with Clipsal and I missed it, (although I wouldn't swap what we achieved at Clipsal for anything.) That event looked to be right on par with any I've been to in Europe... really well done to all concerned in making it happen, getting there and recording it with so many great pics. The only teeny tiny negative I heard from a few non attendees was the "invite".... Some think "opportunity to attend" would fit better than an "invite" followed with request for payment.... Tiny matter... but one I heard more than once.
Thankyou horsey. That is awesome and very cool to know. But the question was are there any owners in their 20's nowdays that anyone here knows of? Different world compared to 30yrs ago. More money floating around now. But are these young guys buying Ferraris?
Thanks mate. Get lots done anyway, but sin bin time gained was spent sorting out some accounts... getting banned allowed me to restructure a few things and save $1000's from the tax man!! So, thanks to all involved!
'tis for sale too by the looks.. http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/FERRARI/F430/Gold+Coast/detail.aspx?id=3229227&pg=1&pp=2&d=0&nv=1
Ummm, no one's sure. I don't think Rusty ever actually gave them any money for it. Someone should go them for false advertising by stating that it's "ready to race".
To answer your question, there is a black 360 in syd that gets around on p plates, and another that used to frequent the burrows days with a young owner
Yeah I posted a pic of that in the "ferrari spotters thread" the plates are "ONLY20" or something like that. I too wish to sell drugs oneday.
For those interested I have posted up some images from the weekends festivities in both Sydney and Melbourne. http://www.ferrariaustralia.com/gallery.htm and follow the links. Some nice shots of Scott's F50 in there now also, with the sun just hitting it in the early hours of Saturday morning at Crown Promenade.

Thanks for the photos. It looks in pretty good nick... can you see any wear 'n' tear on the car in person? Does it look like it's raced a season?
