Igaturk, it is a friend of mine who specializes in larger scale.
He can built any F40LM racing version (1/18) you desire.
If you want to know the cost send me an email.

    Very nice!

I had my builder make 2 of the same F40s using the Robustelli Trans kits.

Lots and lots of parts and the finished models dont do justice to the amount of work that went into them.

Robustelli also made transkits for the 288 GTO as well using the 1/18 scale bBurago.

The base is the 288 GTO bBurago. The transkit is to make a much cooler 288 GTO. Ie. photoecteched parts, disks, ect...

I think a lot of those aftermarket kits are half useless and cost a fortune. On top of that lots of them make no sense to me at all.For example there are "speedline" wheels in some of the "regular" F40 transkits for the bburago models, yet no one seems to bother that the intake manifold is incorrect for all F40s but one. There is a similar situation with Autograph transkits for Pocher 1:8 Ferraris.Yes- they are helping you create the most detailed model possible, but a good 60% or more of the detail they provide is impossible to see once the model is built. If you are not a model contest judge It would be hard to tell apart a built Pocher F40 with a $1500 (being modest) Autograph transkit from a very well built F40 with photoetched grilles, front and back, flocked dash and carbon fiber decals plus some plumbing in the engine ( probably a total of no more than $150)
In general I think that the old school transkits (WOW A LIMITED EDITION OF 50 ROBUSTELLI) are highly overrated.Just my 2 cents.

    I agree and disagree.

When you take the effort to rebuild an F40 using a transkit, that transkit is just the begining. My builder custom built many more pieces in addition to the purchased kit. At the end of the day there is very little that remains of that original bBurago model and much more added than the transkit.

On the other hand there is nothing that bothers me more than those 2 back bBurago deck hinges. So yes, it is a great Ferrari F40 model..but it is still a diecast...in a sense.

The cost of a transkit is irrelavant to the end cost of the model in terms of time and labor. Again for me, that meant paying a builder to make several for me.

At the end of the day I love my 1/18 bBurago Ferrari F40 and have posted pictures of it here as well. Thats all that matters.
