LOL - you'll have another potential buyer soon Jon. - ;)

Jon / Lung - decided to pass on the R8. Great car, but too many unknowns at this point to put down a S$50K non-refundable deposit. Will look at an 08 delivery possibly, if I don't find anything else to tickle my fancy. Appreciate your thoughts though!

Will see you guys in a week or so, and then get some guidance from you on what's available.

Thinking maybe a nicely kept SL55, AMV8 or C2S at this point, but always open to suggestions.

May I offer you my Gallardo so I can buy the Diablo :D

Vik, have you seen pics of the car from Melbourne or Geneva Motor show? The R8 looks really nice, very aggressive rear but getting it new means you're on the tip of losing S$100K in the first year!

Car magazine did a compare with a Gallardo & C2S. Scared the **** of the others & when they bump it up with a V10 Oh-O.

Agree Jon - sexy car, but truth be told, new-car depreciation in SG scares me! Only 8 for 2007 though!

Keep an eye open for me for some nice sports cars, though.

Catch up with you when I'm there.

Will do bro, but HATE Tiptronic, so for the P-cars, will need to be manual.

Any nice Launch Editions C2S' (w/ ceramics) available?

I don't really need the 4 seats and was thinking more of an upgrade, so something along the lines of an F430 coupe or Spider. Mind you, that Superamerica down at HSM would be tempting if I could convince myself that I'd keep it forever and get my head around the initial depreciation. Of course at the end of the day everything needs approval of the management so it's all about picking the right time to ask her.

AMV8? Nice idea. If you want, my uncle is thinking of letting go of his E55 (5 speed box though)

Appreciate the heads-up Harold. Love the 55's, but at this point think I'll stick to the SL line if I go down the MB route.

Can I offer you a used 575 & a 430 coupe, both silver? but seriously, do you want to lose this kind of money for spending so little time here? How's the situation in Tokyo?

Ladies & gentlemen, come April, we will be able to bid for our personalised plates like Americans. It'll be an eight digits format followed by 12 later with the last pre-fix alphabet generated by LTA.

    Which means you can have "Lung1?", "Jonwj1?", "Phil30?", "Rara39?", "Reddevil69?"

    Heng-ah....lucky I didn't waste my money last round :D

Cool man! But I do not quite understand, what do you mean by "followed by 12"? Where can I find this official info? LTA website?

Insider news :D maybe it's on their site? It'll be 8 digits in total & by year-end they'll allow 12 which means we can put a longer name eg. "Jonwijaya68a" or "Darthvader1X" but then the size of the digits would be small except maybe the nos & last pre-fix for identification purposes. Most likely censored as well on certain words....
