Being behind Avery for a nanno second on Sunday(you pulled away so fast I did not see you again until we got to the restaurant) and seeing how fast that M5 is, I am absolutely speechless over the video with the Ford Gt - I cant even fathom how fast that Ford GT is. Looks like a good challenger for Joey.

 

I think the only ferrari that could match the power of the Twin Turbo GT40 is maybe a Enzo! The GT40 was pushing well over 1000hp we were told. It had alot of mods.

Hey the 996tt was no snail either, by the looks of things, that car can definitely hold its owns, even against the big beasts with more cylinders.

Avery -- very fast car man! I wanted to hop on the M5 board to claridy a) it wasn't Formula's fault that we had to restrict attendance b) your car is fast, but mine is faster The fact that you had 3 guys in it (2 of 'em big) and are already in a heavy 4-door is pretty damn remarkable. There is a nice straightaway right before the 125th St exit and we both were on it HARD. I know that I saw 147mph before traffic showed up. I was definately pulling away from you, but I can't say it was pure savagery. Would love to run you on a clean road when you have nobody in your car. I think it would be interesting.

Anyway, 150 (+/- 5mph) on the West Side Highway on a Sunday AM is probablly the fastest I will ever go on that strip of road (definately stupid, STUPID, STUPID) -- but it sure was fun!!

Would love to see the in-camera video from the M5.

I'll tell you one thing i have learned in life, it's never the car it's the driver. ;-)
As far as racing is concerned around a track, Z06'S and Ferrari's will do circle's around you.

I gave the Dvd to Formula to edit but he had a problem transfering it. We will find a way to get te data off the Cd and get you a copy. As far as running my car I would love to for fun but lets be honest with each other the vette has alot more pulling power. I raced my friends modded ZO6 once and he started to pull from me alittle. The Ferrari on the other hand I think at high speed run upto 190 I will be neck and neck with him if not pull away. I have raced many fast cars and all came down to who got the best jump. BTW I did a 12.2 1/4 mile run at englishtown last summer and that was before I did the Super Sprint headers and upgraded tunning. I also had a 2.2 60ft time which was horrible. The car was new to me so I really wasn't getting a good jump. I now know how to drive the car and am hoping for a 1.7-1.8 60ft time and a 1/4 mile run in the mid 11's that on paper would make my car faster that a Z06 and a 430. well have to see. When we set up a date to goto the track you guys should come its a lot of fun. I had a great time that day and would love to be a part of future meets if invited. Thanks again.

 

Tminus whats up dude. was nice meeting you. How did the video come out. You all saw the speeed of formulas M6 at 193. Can anyone state that they witnessed a ferrari or a vette doing those speeds. I was told my M5 could top out at 205. This spring with formulas help I plan to break the 200 mark. That would give me some serious bragging rights.. lol The fastest I went was 190 in 6th gear with one gear left and it was still pulling. I had to stop because my friend was sh***** a brick..lol TMINUS you wanna come along for the 200 mile hour run?

 

Avery.. Much love bro. Video came out great - However, the quality of the in-car footage was poor, as it was hard to get the accurate white balance for the road ahead when I was shadowed in in the backseat. Plus the stiff suspension and zoom just don't mix well - even with a 2 hands on the camera.

Sounds like a plan - Let me know when we're doing this - The video doesn't lie.
