Ferrari for Prom

ya...I went 150 mph today, experienced well over 1 g in cornering and braking about 30-40 times...and I didnt die and most definitely was not arrested!








































At VIR...in an AM V8 professionally driven waiting for my 911 to come on friday...so I can go out and try it for myself...man...someone must trust me!

Just because he is young doesnt mean he is a bad driver...its just a "bit" of conformation bias...thenagain...many young people are bad drivers...I guess there arent many easy answers...

 

If you want to be original and not get a limo, rent the Bang Bus.

Dont try to run him he will put a hurting to your car. In all honesty find some one who owns a mustang or a vette there just as fun and you dont have to worry about people messing with them.

 

Before I rented a Ferrari (not for prom, I was 40+) I went to Skip Barber High Performance driving School at Road America in Wisconsin.

My advice: Make sure you know how to drive the car properly. You'll have more fun and you will be safer...and so will everyone else. No matter how good we think we are, we can always improve. Smart people learn from others mistakes and experience, not from making their own mistakes-whenever possible. It is a wise person who knows what he doesn't know and is willing to pay someone with more expertise.

Trial and error is a very EXPENSIVE way to learn IMHO.

i took my dads at the time 88 Lotus Esprit Turbo to Prom, and well it was an awesome ride there but on the way home it poured heavy rain and after that car sat in the rain plus driving about 2 hours home because of the weather it sucked
i was going 20 km/h the whole way home
1. because of the low tread left on the tires
2. everytime i would touch the gas the ass end would slide out
my date did still have alot of fun thou

I dunno actually. I think he'd take me off the line and I'd reel him in easy.

Norwood turbo setup on this Mondi and that Trans Am is bone stock.

It'd be interesting to say the least.
