Absolutely! I don't know about aero and I find it hard to believe that 120lbs of DF make a difference on my 2800lbs. But I have to admit I am faster, my latptimes are lower, and the stability makes me more confident to brake later and maintain my speed on big fast sweepers in the 120mph range. I think the issue must be less about overall DF or the wing and more about the decrease of overall lift on the giant lifting body...the car! All I know is this armchair stuff makes me faster. I have never been over 140mph street or track and I clubrace wheel to wheel. Chaa 180???? is that in KPH? 180mph is pretty fast on a track and reckless on a generic highway (unless autobaun) but to each his own. I'm 95% convinced even the fastest porsches that are 2000lbs with 500hp are not hitting 180mph on the tracks I race.

Nope i did not, some one else, not me.
And at no point did i ever suggest that this (355) diffuser technology is current or best now did i??
As i said and will say again with out the mile stone 355s basic FX and diffuser technology there would be no F430 or 599 diffuser development. Thats logic isnt it.

Two things to note: All of these 355 and newer Ferraris that have downforce producing underbody aerodynamic panels have a raised inlet on the front bumper. I think to really make a 348 rear diffuser work right you'd need an appropriate inlet at the front.

Also, aren't the published downforce numbers "net" numbers? Meaning the car gets "heavier" with speed, not 180 lbs partially counteracting 300 lbs of lift for net 120 lbs lift, but 180 lbs more down than up force.

Buy the diffuser for looks.....if you get over 100mph there will be a cop to slow you down real quick....with or without downforce..lol.
There is some benefit to the rear diffusers but you still need a wing to make it really stick...360 and 430 Challenge cars do not have wings because of rules...but take that same undertray setup for the N spec cars and they are running some pretty serious wings along with highly controlled ride height.

Bingo! When the 360 and 430 are attempting to be real race cars wings go on and chassis height is carefully controled
