Here is what I know about the car from my database:

2nd GT4 to enter the US
    #8140 1974 Engine #48
    Red/Beige w. Black carpets
sold as a new car in Italy was metallic Blue/Tan,
8/90 for sale Classic Auto Omaha, NB $45k 33k miles,
    2004 car was in MN,
    2/2005 now in (CA)
    7/06 in CA
    2/07 for sale (CA) $30k, 65k km,

Thought I'd post it in case anyone was looking.
No relation to the seller, I just found it in my wanderings.

I'll bet it'll be pretty fun trying to smog test that car

I think it belongs to a Fchatter and he decided to sell it to his cousin in order to finance his PHD with the thought of being able to re-purchase the car at a later date.

If memory serves me right that is.

I wondered what ever happened to the "SHOW CAR". I remember around 1998 a guy called the shop to tell us he would be bringing down a rare Ferrari show car for some work. He was very concerned about who would work on it and even who would be allowed near it.

Later that day this blue GT4 shows up, that was it! Not to say anything against a GT4 (I really am kind of fond of them) he made this 20 footer sound like Enzo's personal 250 GTO on the phone. We still laugh about it. I saw the car a couple more times. Apparently it was sold out of state and got a well needed paint job (resale-red).

Looks like a nice car from the pic's. In retrospect I would have rather had a euro car like this, I was looking at one in northern Cali but went for the local US spec car insted. No regrets really, just like the looks of the euro cars better, and the extra HP never hurts either! :D

    Cheers!

    The car is spoken for.
I had given the car to my nephew (not cousin).
Does not need smog since it is a 1974 (and it's a real euro car).

Oh... one more thing - has a Becker Europa II radio with original speakers,
and no FRIGGIN cup holders :)

1975 and older are exempt in CA. It was 30 years and older, but they froze it at 1975 much to the chagrin of 1976 owners!

Boy that looks horrible! It looks like he carved it himself out of styrofoam.
