Both of the climate control switches in my 328 are acting up. Sometimes they operate properly but more often than not they get stuck in the maximum-heat position. If I apply a lot of extra preasure to the rocker it will change, but its getting worse (of course). I took one of the switches apart but I did not see anything obvious. Any suggestions?

JV, does heat come through (or more heat than "usual")?...or do you hear the heat valves opening & closing?....if they open & close it may just be that your switches need adjusting...Here's a service bulletin detailing how to adjust.. The switches are tricky, at least for me to remove but with patience, putty knives, and care they can be removed. They are held in by two metal clips that need to be pushed against the heater control body, then the control can be lifted out..I know there were some posts w/photos (by me & others) about this..let us know if you need more//

Mike, thanks for the info. I'll give the calibration a shot. I had no idea they were adjustable. Everything seems to be working as it should except I can't get the LEDs to go out (most of the time) without a lot of preasure. When I took apart the switch I did't see anything that looked worn out. For what its worth , after re-installing the switch it seems to be working OK. I did notice holes (from a test light) in some of the wires insulation. I'm guessing someone had this problem before me.

John, sounds like it just may be an adjustment..I had the same problem with the passenger side control & this fixed it. While I was in there I checked the seating of the light bulbs (cleaned the contacts)..
I would recommend "patching" the holes in the wire insulation, even though they're small ...you never know!!
