    I get emails and PM's all the time from guys looking for nice GT4's. They just keep forgetting that these cars are making a serious jump in value as we speak. The days of buying nice GT4's for the mid 20's are gone.

    One of the top 5 cars in the US was just sold to a fellow Fchatter. You guys who keep shopping for a nice one but won't pony up the dough dropped the ball on this one.

    I don't want to blow the surprise so I won't say who bought it, but he is an Fchatter and I know this really nice example will be in good hands. I believe he'll post pictures late next week. Wait 'til you see how nice it is, mama mia.

    Based on my research when I was serious, you're right. GOOD GT4's are getting scarcer. Mediocre ones are available.

    I hope it stayed in the FChatter family.

    So, since the check has been cashed, and the car is loaded on a semi heading from Florida to Boulder, CO, I guess its OK to tell the group about it. 1979 GT4, Dino Metallic Blue, 13K documented miles, all original with the exception of a bare metal paint job in 1995. 16" Speedline wheels (originals come with it, too).

    So I am VERY EXCITED to be joining the F-car family...and Thanks Dave for your nice comments about the car.

    I tried to post a couple photos (hope it works). The car had just come out of storage, so was dusty (my apologies). I will take some better ones when it arrives home.

    BTW, there was another equally as nice, 16K mile car. Two-time PB (Palm Beach) Cavallino Platinum winner recently sold to an F-Chatter as well. So, there are two less "nice" GT4's in circulation folks....

    I checked out that GT4 last summer.

    Even had a PPI done by Tim Stanford.

    I thought that the asking price was on the high side (What do I know?) and went for an 87 Mondial 3.2 Cab instead.

    No regrets.

    Best of luck to the new GT4 owner!

    Purchased from Martin @ Cavallino Motors GREAT GUY! Buy with confidence. I bought the car sight unseen and am very pleased with my purchase. 16,000 doc miles, complete ownership history back to original purchase in the midwest. Cavallino Platinum winner 06/07 and 06 winner of Cavallino Cup for best 2+2 at the show. The car is with John at IFS having hyper-flow cats installed and a state inspection then off to Jon (Birdman's) for updated fuseboxes. I can't wait for the road salt to clear. Bring on Summer!

    Andrew - CONGRATULATIONS! At least yours is now in your possession. Thats great. All this F-Chat hype is making me more anxious for my arrival. Our weather here in Colorado (at least at Denver elevation) has cleared up. Its driving weather!

    Congrats to both of you! Just in time too, with the weather turning nice.

    But that's one of the nice things about Memphis - winter isn't much. It's the dog days of summer when I put mine up for awhile.

    The clear cool days of Spring make for great driving particularly in a carb car. Be sure and keep the passenger window down and enjoy the sound.
