I'll try in the morning. But if you right click on it; hit 'save target as'; instead of 'save picture as'......... I will put it on Rapidshare for everyone if needed. Kevin S. Orchard Park, NY
best i can tell it's a quick time file, however quicktime will only play the audio and the video is choppy green screen. you got me, it is a .mov file.
BEST AD EVER!!! That road on the 43-50s mark is a 30min drive from Sydney and only 60km'h speed limit Apprently it was suppose to be shot on the harbour bridge but had some issues with the government... soo they move it to this road which is only 1yr old.
I was just thinking of posting this link somewhere on f-chat and I'm glad I checked in here first. I just LOVE that Autoblog writer. All of his stuff is just so amazing. Seriously though, that commercial is phenomenal. If you click on the image at the top of the post, it will take you to the ad agency's higher res video. You should be able to right-click and save it from there. Really a great ad, but as a few of our commenters noted, because AGIP was the sponsor during much of the '70s-'90s, we missed out on some of the Sheckter/Lauda/Villeneuve F1 cars.
Amazing how much the exhaust note has changed over the last 60 years....of course they are turning almost 3 times the rpm today...
It's a great video indeed! Great writer too. There's a rumor going around that he's Angelina Jolie's new love interest. She apparently dumped Brad for this guy. Those Italians!
Terrific! Downloaded the Hi-res and hooked my laptop to my 56 DLP - looks (and sounds) pretty damn good! I'd pay shell for a HD 7.1 version.
Can anybody in here confirm or correct the list of cars pictured in the ad? Ferrari 555 or 1952 500 Ferrari 512 F1 or 1966 312 Ferrari 312B Ferrari F300 Ferrari F2003-GA Ferrari 248 F1
No sir. There are no mountains in York County. No Shell Stations either. If you want Shell, you have to drive 36 miles south to Baltimore, MD. Bethlehem, on the other hand, is a good ways east, probably in another marketing region. There are no Sunoco or Chevron stations here, either. There are a few Exxon and BP stations, however. But, most are Hess or "private label."
that is SOOO cool!! The best Shell-Ferrari commercial yet. They had that "mid-flight refueling" one with the airborne tanker plane, and then the "Shell-history" one with the "travelling-thru-the-engine" montage... this is the BEST yet!! VERY well done. I love those Times square scene and those close-to-the-wheel shots the best. This is on my ipod to be sure.
