550 AC face plate

    I've posted this before, but I thought I'd check again. The problem is the discoloring and lifting of the face plate for the AC/heat controls. I found a company in England who has made a replacement for the 360 but not the 550. Anyone know of a source besides the OE replacement for about $2,500?

    Ok this is the last time I'm going to post this.

    I have a Euro climate control plate (you need only to send a self addressed and posted package to get it). PLus one bottle of scotch (collectors bottle).

    You can get a carbon fiber for $600 from Valence USA..

    The reason I had a face plate (now spoken for) available, was because I bought the Valance CF plate.

    This is outstanding.....

    Now if Chris or Brian would step up production and get a gear shift ball available (meaning, ready to ship).

    I have been waiting for a A/C faceplate and Parking switch cover plate from Valence since November.

    I waited for sill plates for 6 months and gave up.

    Does anyone know who else is making replacement carbon fiber parts for the 550 for the A/C cover plate, and maybe the console well that holds small items as well as the parking light flasher plate other then Valence. I know everyone swears by them and I have been supposedly third on the waiting list for 5 months now. Now I am not even getting a return e-mail and think I need to start researching other companies that make them. Does anyone know of any.

    I finally got an e-mail back from Craig saying that a few of us who have been waiting may be getting our A/C cover plates and maybe even a center well tray in 3 to 4 weeks.
    I will keep you guys updated in case you are on the list also.

    For any of you interested or waiting for Valence, I have good news I think.
    I talked to Chris this morning and confirmed I will have a new A/C control faceplate, Hazard button console faceplate, and a new center console well all in carbon fiber. They are working on them now and delivery should be in about 3-4 weeks.

    Just to answer Gary's question, MAcarbon will soon have more 550 parts available. We have CF replacements for the AC panel and coin tray in development. We could certainly have an AC panel available within 4 weeks if someone wanted to try it out.....

    We also have a center console (the leather piece the coin holder screws into) and mirror triangles in house but have not yet decided if we want to make them. (Any interest?) We already have the paddles, ashtray, handbrake, and mirror switch pieces available.

    What else are owners looking for? (Sills etc.?)

    I do like those Valence knobs. Nice work Chris.
