The challenge grille on Albert's car looks great. Silver 348's looks very nice. Thanks for your PM Albert. Here's a pic of her. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like that. Looks really nice. Is the screen functional? I mean does it let hot air out of the engine compartment? How did you do it? Is it a kit that is for purchase? Why is the sky blue? Bee Jay
Bee Jay, for an answer on this, do a search with the word "hut". Dude that makes these lives in a hut with no phone or running water.
DC, nice 348 spider! Thanks for posting the photo. And yes the 355 Challenge grills on 348 do let excess heat out. Now I have to find a 355 rear bumper, wow that does look good!
I show it several times, show off is not my intention. I am a dentist, need to work 13 hrs/day, 5 days/week here in Taiwan. Which can not allow me to DIY so many things. I pay and I got it. The guy did it for me could not speak english nor intention for farther production. All I can do is show my result to those who want it but not sure how its look can be. I don't uberstand why the "hut" came from. Are you realy need to be so mean, bro?
I fabbed up an x-pipe muffler with stainless inlets and oulets into the oval stainless tips. Finally had a chance to drive it yesterday inbetween rain storms. What a blast, its not too loud and not to quiet, does not have F1 sound but more of an Indy sound similar to a sportbike with a slipon muffler. nothing else like it compare. Looks great!! What kind of packing material did you 'stuff' the muffler with?? I will fabbing my own pretty soon too .

Thanks !! Though does not that stuff disapear after some time? When I was making custom p-car exhausts I used a stainless metalic packing material to keep it from going south with the heat.
Brent, I think it looks great. To each his own. I have seriously thought of doing the same with mine. Thanks for assisting with my a.c. at the end of last year, no problems since. Darryl P.S. Say high to Eugenio.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Guys, for those of you that did the conversion, do you still have the horizontal slats that covered the orginal tail lights? I am looking to replace mine because they have broken off on the corners. Please let me know if you would like to sell them. Kai
There is a 348 rear grill listed here at Fchat in Ferrariads by Valence, I believe asking price is $450. I'm keeping mine so it can be returned to stock if future owner wants to.
Sorry, I'm keeping mine along with anything else I changed on the car so if I'm ever want to go back to stock I can.
thanks for the feedback, i contacted the seller. Not sure how easy it is to weld aluminum. I would probably have to recoat the grille afterwards as well. Kai
Brent, I'm sorry but you don't need to change the 348 tail lights. The 348 is a very nice looking Ferrari from any angle you look. I owned a 348 and never thought about changing the tail lights. May be changing the wheels. I don't like them and I think that a 348 with some aftermarket 18'' or the 355 wheels looks much better. But the 348 tail lights and the side cheese grater are gorgeous and don't need to be modified. It identifies the 348, makes it different from any Lotus spirit, for example. Oh yes...put spacers on the four wheels and a tubi exhaust, and that's enough!
Ok. I think I take it too seriously. Here are my friend's 430, Gallardo together with my 996 turbo, all with Kerissieg piep. The sound of them are all incredibly lound, much more lounder than my tubi-348 . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
