whats even funnier is that the guy behind the concrete barrier doesn't even move.....like a $650k supercar crashing straight at you isn't scary...he just keeps standing there, smoking

I don't know of this actor. He looked like he was almost smiling after the crash, like "**** me, I did something really stupid." I suspect that he was taken away in the ambulance more for avoiding embarassment than anything else.
Was the guy in the blue hoodie the car's owner?

I don't know the driver either. The owner doesn't seem too shaken up about it. I guess that's why he let the guy drive it in the first place. What a screw up.

I doubt Eddie Griffin can afford it, Daniel can afford 40 of them so I doubt he cares with all the free publicity he is getting for the film he bankrolled...Lets not forget that he also totalled his Carrera GT on purpose for the film. At least Nick Cage has replica's built to tear up in his movies.

My mother called me and said "did you hear the 2 million dollar Ferrari crashed" the news cast said the value was over 1.5 million, LOL! Maybe if they keep crashing them...

So I told her, no it's the same 1 million dollar car your son has. My brother has an Enzo so I guess he is happy and sad at the same time.

You make it sound as if this happened during production of the film. This is not the case. This was during a charity event to promote the film.

The Porsche CGT that was destroyed for the film was a previously wrecked CGT on a salvage title. For the scene where the Diablo Roadster was destroyed a replica was used.

I'm sure the Enzo was insured as part of the film production which would cover it for damage sustained during production or during any event publicizing the film. In short, he's covered. This is typical with movie cars.

You might be surprised what he can and cannot afford. The guy has been doing stand-up for a looonnnngggg time. I, and many others, paid to see him back in the day before he became mainstream...he is a good comedian. His movies don't do too poorly either...hell, Half-Baked is a cult classic.

I don't think he was laughing about it. I am sure that he feels terrible, and the initial reactions that people are ragging him about are more the result of being shaken up and frightened than anything else. My first (and only) major wreck that left my Vette at the bottom of a steep hill was followed by a strained laugh and Holy sheit...

    Give the guy a break.

He was in half baked? I mainly remember Dave Chapelle, Jim Breur, and that other guy being the main characters...Of course when it came out we had to get half baked to go see it:D Even if half baked has done $100mm at this point I seriously doubt he had enough clout at that time to get back end royalties, was he also a producer? I have never seen his stand up in person so I have no idea bout his finances but I don't see many comedians at his level(C list) being able to afford a car like an Enzo.

I am not surprised he crashed an Enzo. He is a terrible actor; he is a lousy comedian, so I guess incompetent driver fellows the scheme.

I'm sure he prolly does well. I don't know if he's Enzo material though. I see lots of people on Cribs that you would think would have some serious money that don't seem to live all that great. Maybe they just dont care aboout that stuff, or they just save it? Duece Bigalow himself, Rob Schneider comes to mind. Also that that goofy dude, Andy Dick. Andy is all over TV, yet his house was normal and he had some wierdo living in a Streamline trailer in his driveway.
