I've had a few emails on doing a get together at my house this summer. In my opinion I would like it to be a get together. Other cars would be welcome. Lambo, NSX etc. It would be an afternoon thing. I could supply soft drinks and water and probably finger food. Any one have any suggestions on what they would like to see? Be realistic. I can take the 3 cars out of my attached garage and set up tables and chairs. It would basically be a get together to talk and look at others rides. I also have the covered patio next to the pool to hang out at. Rodney Dickman 1990 348 TS
Heck, I know I don't need anything fancy. It would be plenty of fun to just stand around in the driveway and look at/talk about the cars. Anything beyond that would be pure luxury.
Count me in, and please pick a date soon so that I can be there. Our summers are way too short and the calendar fills up fast...
Holy cow! Benjammin, which part of Racine are you in? I am completely shocked at how many Ferrari's are up here. We are becoming the new Lake Forest .
The show is on! After seeing the post from Michael RPM I have no fear of doing this show. We need to look at setting a date. I would like to see late August. Maybe Sunday Sept. 9th. We can look at August 11 and 18. August 25th may be out as some have said they will be at Pebble Beach. Let me know what is good for everyone. Rodney Dickman
In my opinion there is just too good of a chance for rain in those months. I would rather have it late in the summer when there is very little chance for rain so there is less chance it gets rained out. Rodney Dickman
I'm in Wind Point, just a few miles from Mera. The car is a red '85 308. We've crossed paths on the road before. It must have been you, I can't imagine there are too many white testarossas around... Ben Late August/ early Sept. works well for me.
The show that I did (Quaker Steak and Lube) in June last year will be held again. Leigh and Joel Bahr are putting it on. Look in the Ferrari Newsletter for details. That should give you your "June Exotic Car fix" that you are looking for..... ;-)
Bill, Paul is going to put it on this year. Leigh moved their party up a little bit so the weather wont be so cold this year. I still need to call Paul so I can help him with Quaker steak and the people on this board that might want to come out. I am going to try to team up with Mike at Fox Valley to see if he would like to bring some Lambos up.
I think this sounds like fun... A little of a drive for me in Chicago but if my schedule works out you can count me in. Id love to see a list of people that confirm and the cars. So far I see some great ones on the thread. Silver 360 Modena here... -Paul
Have you determined a date yet? I need to know so I do not have mine the same weekend. Rodney Dickman 1990 348 TS
I have a web page now for this get together. http://www.lonestarfieros.org/exotic-car/exotic-car.html In time this URL will change and I will post that. It is just a simple web page. I will be adding a few new pictures and a better picture of the front of my house once the leaves fill in some and the grass is greener. I have not determined the start/finish times but will do so soon. Any suggestions or changes to this web page are appreciated. I hope to make this an annual event. Rodney Dickman 1990 348 TS
