Our gang situation in Houston is getting worse. MS-13 really seems to be "the gang" that's making things worse. I say put all the mofo's in one big room with one knife. Let them kill each other. They think they own things they really don't. For some reason I had a lot of gang-banger friends growing up. No, I never hung out with them. But I was always accepted by them for some reason. I had a friend who went to a private school and she said that a lot of those kids were crips or members of other gangs.
I am not surprised if he didn't strike fear in everyone when he cruises down isa's main drag in his 348!
I don't 'do' wells, either--I like wimmen, so it sounds like my kinda gang! FWIW, we had no gang activity here until the state (Cal) built Pelican Bay prison, c.1992. Today, we have some problems with gangs (albeit minor problems), but we have a big, growing meth problem.
Gangs go where the attitudes go. We have a problem in Chicago so some parents sent their kids out to the burbs to live with grandparents. Guess what?? Now the gang problem is in the burbs where these kids came to live. So the problem was relocated by the kids because their behavior didn't change. Now the tax payers in the burbs have to pay for the extra services and load on our school system. Who is at fault here?? IMHO......the kids and their parents. No money, no economic-social BS, many of these kids got a great opportunity and they are blowing it.
You may already have a good start and not realize it. You thought enough of your sister to post your concerns. From what I see I think you have yourself on the right track to success. Without preaching to her, verbalize your concern for HER. Let it be about HER. You are apparently leading by example and, after all, you are her older brother. She may not tell you but, she is paying attention to everything you do. Stand for what you believe and stand tall. Then, you will always have her respect. Some day she'll come back to you with that and, my friend, she'll be smiling. Best of luck.
At one of my friends schools there is a group of kids that call themselves 'white fear'. They bring guns, knives, explosives and anything else you could imagine to school.
Wow....never heard of explosives. If this is in the suburbs, well it's not mine I would of stopped that myself. I fear no gang!
