Thats a knowledgeable view, and a good point as well. However I still don't like Alonso, even if her were at Ferrari.

If Alonso were at Ferrari, everyone here would be singing his praises and denigrating Kimi.

    You disagree?

Go through the archives and see the comments regarding Kimi and Massa before they were signed by Ferrari.

Bottomline is that everything has a good and bad side. As a youngster FA dreamed of being a WDC, worked hard and achieved his dream, and now wants to live a quiet life behind the scenes while being the current champion in one of the world's most recognized sports. Sorry Freddy, reality check says NOT! With fame and fortune comes the spotlight, papparazzi, etc. How he deals with it will help define his public perception.

Valentino Rossi couldn't walk down a street in Italy without being mobbed; as a result he moved to London.

I personally wouldn't mind being in FA's shoes-I know I'd be able to deal with the adoring female fans ;)

Alonso is too much. He is allready making excuses for his future non wins by saying that ferrari is much quicker. He also says that his car just isnt fast enough. I will bet that it wont be long before he starts blaming the team for not winning.

That's true though, and all drivers make excuses, it's their ego looking for a reason to explain why they couldn't win. Sometimes it's legit, and sometimes it seems like they're reaching. Anyways it's a fact that Ferrari is way ahead.

.. and then go through some of the later archives to see that a lot of fchatters are still giving Massa a hard time after his move to SF.

Well, delivering a good performing car always helps in winning. So in some way blaming the team can be justified - its not 100% driver.

PS Can someone post the article here? Link doesn't seem to work for me..

In the last few quotes from FA he seems to say that he hopes the Ferraris break on race day; when you can't beat your opponents in a straight fight on the race track and you wish they DNF it tells me you are already beaten....
