Seriously, is there anybody doing this who likes to drive the route s-l-o-w-ly? If so, I would be willing to trail along. Mai seems to start a whine which closely resembles a rear end noise when I go very fast...or even a little fast.
I don't understand the question. All our lunch commutes quite clearly state "this is not a speed contest. All participants are expected to obey Texas traffic laws at all time." Seriously, it really isn't a race. The group as a whole tends to break into a few subgroups depending on their individual driving styles. All my runs start with a short freeway section to let people sort themselves before hitting the 2 lane roads.
Perhaps you should leave the source of the whine in an area more suitable? We like to drive fast. Well, some of us do. Not me. I get passed by guys going 157. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I for one have always maintained reasonable and legal speeds on these drives.
Well, that sounds reasonable enough...but it must be terribly frustrating for those German sedan owners who are electronically regulated to 155...and here I was hoping to make the run without using the power key to minimize greenhouse gasses. Lest all should think that a caveman corvette owner is being wimpified, let me remind you that Ferrari Testarossa's are much easier to buy when you include the GF/SO into your car social activities with generally happy results. OK, so count on James & Mai in the ZR1.
If you don't believe him, ask the guy behind me. (I'm in the 360) This pic was from last year's run! Image Unavailable, Please Login

I didnt understand your statement? I have seen you go slower with the kids in the car, as do I, but last time I checked you seemed to always be in the fast lead group.
I usually define it by weather and will my car bottom out following Jim causing me to revisit Norwoods. As for Country, I would say Germany.
Now that woke me up! One more run before I repaint the front of my Diablo! Please let me attend! Mark
Why not, Phil? The tractor will go will with the Ford. (Since we know you're not bringing a PBug this time.)
All sarcasm aside, I'd rather see the GT on the road than your F-Car. There won't be a shortage of red 3XX's, I'm sure.
Cool news! I'm very happy to say that Norwood Performance is sponsoring some giveaways. We'll be giving some things away with a random draw at the end of the "lunch commute." Thanks very much to James, Mike and the crew at Norwood Performance. T
Cool news! Our starting location has been moved. We're now going to start at RUF Auto Centre. Johnathan has been kind enough to offer the location as a starting point, and coffee/donuts etc. 3219 Commander Dr Carrollton, TX 75006 We're gathering 9ish, leaving 9:30 ish. We're still headed to Sherman, so the route's going to take part of the George Bush over to 75 before we hit the smaller roads. Bring a buck or two if you don't have a tolltag Thanks very much to Jonathan and the crew at RUF Auto Centre.
