    Hey guys,
I've been lurking around here for sometime, I've always wanted a Ferrari. Over the last four years I've had HUMMER H1's, two to be exact. I love the H1's and I love the off road scene, but I think its time for a change. So I'm thinking about picking up a 348 spyder. I figure I may as well do it while I'm still young, before a wife and kids drain my bank accounts. I've driven the F430, the 575, and a TR, and loved them all. My only concern about a 348 is at nearly 6'3 can I fit in one? The 430, and 575 were not a problem, as I remember neither was the TR with the exception of getting my legs in the things. I guess I'm just not used to that though. Right now I'm thinking I'd be willing to spend 55-58K, will that put me into a decent spyder? I'm not looking for something that looks like it just came off of the assembely line, but a car that is in very nice shape, and most of all serviced. Any pointers, or places you guys recomend looking for cars. Also, is anyone from Wisconsin? I live in south eastern Wisconsin and am wonder where most people in this area get their cars serviced. Take care guys, I look forward to talking with you more.

I'm 6'4 and the 348 isn't too bad on me. Of course, I don't ever drive with the top on anyway.

    Take the leap! 348 Spider!

Best combination of price + technology. This is the first car that has actually been able to satisfy me 99.9% Do it!

355's are too close in price to a 360... might as well step up at that point ;)

Bah, bad advice. Get a Spider and be happy. At your height, it will be a bit snug as you try to find a comfortable place for your legs and the steering wheel. The Italian car driving position is not for the taller driver. I found that by slouching slightly, moving the seat almost back to the stops (1 click short), leaving the adjustable steering column at its hightest elevation and wearing driving shoes was just about tolerable in my Spider. The 348TS I am still trying to find the sweet spot due to the carbon fiber seats.

    +1 :D :D

355's are way worth the 'tiny' premium over what a 348 costs

 the 355 guys need to grow in numbers to compete with the brotherhood  ;)

    6'3" :( ??? I am only 6'0" and I fit "just right" :D!

I'm 6' 2" and 220 pounds. Fit in my 348 Spider no problem. Headroom is not an issue.

I did install a steering wheel spacer to bring the steering wheel closer to my body, though. That makes getting in and out easier...and it allows me to bend my elbows while steering.

 I guess my F355 spider is worth more than I thought :D !

There are not nearly enough 'hands on' 355 owners as 348 owners

Don't go spilling the beans now Vince . I could be getting premium greenbacks for my car if more people think like wingfeather  ;) :D .

True. I got confused. The one I was looking at locally was a '99? 355 Spider with F1, and they wanted an assload for the car.
