It's either an 81 or 82 308 and it did not leave Ferrari with that turbo.

This car has been at Hooked on Classics for many, many years. I'd venture a guess of at least 3-5.

    If they say otherwise....???

Dr Tommy is right. The only 308s that left the factory with turbos were known as 208 Turbos. Looks almost identical, sans a small NACA duct in front of rear wheels. Also no 308 was EVER fitted with one of those terrible wings from the factory. Egads.

If I remember correct from my days as a teenager in italy, 208 Turbos were only for the italian market since tax laws at the time taxed cars great than 2 liters at something like 38% and less than 2 liters at 18%. Many manufacturers had italy specific models at the 2 liter displacement size. Ferrari had the 208 Turbo, BMW had a very nice 320is 6 cylinder 3 series that I don't believe was sold elsewhere etc.

Looking at that I would guess it is a Koenig rear wing & front spoiler, and they are well known for their twin turbos

I have always thought that all of Koenig's taste was in just in his mouth.
