    Indoor is currently the best we got here, but there is some more in the works. I agree nothing beats the outdoors. Haven't done shifter karts yet, but would love to.

    There is a kart circuit on the far southwest side, but I can't remember the name. Unfortunately, we have that pesky issue of weather to deal with!

    Indoor karting might look goofy, but the skills you learn for passing are priceless. If you can pass in a tight indoor track as ours, you can pass anywhere.

    Or to put it differently: I'd say bring some outdoor karters to an indoor track and the battle hardened racers will eat them for breakfast. There is a reason they fully enclose the wheels on the indoor track.

    PS: Don't be fooled by the pictures below: Most of what you see there is the pitlane, not the actual track. Post #86 shows one picture of the actual track.

    I was just kidding with you, I have done that too. I was just ribbin you because I know that weather stinks and makes it hard to have outdoor fun. Hell, I lived in Glencoe till I was 13 when I moved out to LA in 65.

    And... enclosed wheels? Sound more like Nascar to me. hehe. :)

    Here are some more from a day at Willow Springs running shifters. We have a group that rents the tracks for a day. That way we get max drive time.

    So you can actually fit three people into a 360. I thought that was just made up in "Charlie's Angels 2", but apparently it can be done. :)

    There is more that can be done in a 360 that you can imagine. The 360 is appropriate for a run around the world. And it won't take 80 days, unless you are Sting of course. ;)
