You know how you really get tuned into your specific car? Well that's how I am. I can tell you almost everything about my cars, even the ones I sold a while back.

So I had a 348 Spider like 16 months back that I owned for 4.5 years. Now I have this 348 SS and I am always comparing stuff between them. They're one model year different and about 8-9 months different in production dates. The Spider's headlight switch used to rotate once to the driver's lights switch, then on to the headlight activation which opened the headlight buckets. Then, when I turned back to the driver's light position, the headlights went off, but they stayed open. Turning the switch completely off then closed the headlight buckets.

The 348SS, on the other hand, closes the headlamps when the switch is returned to the driver's light position. How are they supposed to work? Anyone notice a difference before?

My 348 Spider headlights close when you return the lever to the Driving position, as a datapoint.

My '95 348 Spider operates like No Doubt's. Close on returning switch to instrument panel light position, headlights off.

Pap, you may be the man who finally figures out which steering column stalk Ferrari borrowed for the 348: Alpha or Fiat!

LOL, WTF was the matter with my Spider stalk?! Whatever, it's not my car anymore. I thought all Ferrari's were screwy with that operation. I'm glad to see that was not the case.
