I saw one black 355 in Toronto in all of 2006.
The local punters take their super-cars for a spin most Sunday mornings, out to a place called Tai Po, near the Chinese border with Hong Kong SAR. I will try and get some pics next time I am out there, but suffice it to say that if its not out there, it aint a super-car... I am talking about +50 genuine super cars every week, ranging from Murcs, to 997 GT3 RS, to the (now numerous) F430s. Amongst these monsters our little 355s seem quite rare, but there are usually one or two to be found. As for around the traps, on the streets that is, of Hong Kong, they are again quite rare however there is one that parks near mine in my building each day. it would be interesting to know how Hong Kong rates these days in terms of Ferrari's global market-share, but I would guess that as a function of population it is ridiculously high.
There were about 11,200 355 made and alot more 360 maybe 17,000 or so and the 430 may break through the 20,000 mark before they are done. The other thing is that each model has seen a larger percentage come to North America. It would be intresting to see how many of each model were imported to the USA and Canada. My wild guess would be about 4,000 355 in NA and probably 10,000 360 in NA. But thats just a guess. Be nice to know the real numbers. The longer the car has been out the less of them are still around as many are broken down for parts after being writen off.
Yesterday Ill get pics up when im on my computer. EDIT: I dont know if it counts, it was after an FChat meeting.
Come to think of it, I don't often see other 355s on the road. Ken, a fellow F Chat member, has a beautiful yellow 355GTB that I see mostly when I meet up with him. Other than that there is a guy with 355 Spider with the license plate "HUMBLE". Think about it: if you're truly humble you don't brag about being "humble", in my humble opinion.
