    Hi all,

I can't find a step-by-step thread on radiator removal on my GT4. Does anyone know of one on fchat ?

If not are there any points I need to be aware of ? it looks pretty simple, although the bottom hose looks difficult to get to and I'd also like to remove the rad without removing the aircon heat exchanger.

    thanks

I've not had chance to pull the front bumper, grill and skid plate off the car to have a better look at the radiator.

It seems I'll probably have to pull the air con heat exchanger with the radiator as the bolts hold the two together are tight.

What are the issues with disconnecting the pressure hoses from the air con ? It's not a frion system anymore as it was converted a few years ago, and I think there may be a leak in the system anyway, so I suspect pressure and coolant are down. Can I just replease the gland nuts at the air con rad ? Again any issues I need to be aware of.

    thanks

    Lee,

remove the skid plate first and see what you can do from there. As far as I'm aware if you disconnect the aircon pipes you will have to get the system recharged?

Must admit, I've never tried removing the Rad myself, but have replaced some coolant hoses at the front.

Yeah, I can see it all alot better with the skid plate removed. The skip plate was pop-riveted on to the wings - is this normal ? I was thinking of cutting an access hole for the lower radiator hose to make any future maintainance easier - or at least fixing the skid plate back on with small bolts rather than pop-rivets.

I'd resigned myself to disconnecting the air con hoses, but just wondered about any safety issues ?
